One of the best pastry shops in the area. Everything produced is of the highest standard. The prices are obviously not low but you pay for the quality. The location is not the best and is unreachable, except on foot, at certain times of the day. The service, especially during busy hours, is not well organised, although undoubtedly professional

Pastry shop with a small car park in front, with internal and external tables. Excellent location for breakfast, the croissants were good, but the best thing was the chocolate and red fruit cube. Really good and full of chocolate inside. The only flaw is that the outside tables have a view of the buildings.

The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful. I tried a chocolate cake and a coffee. The cake was dense and tasty just how I like it. The coffee was good and served in a discreet cup. Perfect place for a sweet and relaxing break.

We had just a quick cappuccino and a cornetto but really liked it. The prices are normal and not inflated as in the city centre, the quality is good and the service great. They serve lunch as well from what we’ve seen. There’s free parking just in front as well as WiFi access.

06/10/2024: Walked in without a reservation. Owner was kind to accommodate us. House wine (Rosso) was very good, food was delicious and service was excellent. Next day ran into the owner before the restaurant opened. Asked her which wine we had the previous night and she went out of her way to share details about it and pointed me to the local shop where I could buy it. Definitely recommend visiting this hidden gem in Pittigiano.
03/10/2024: We had a wonderful meal: 1a pasta with freshly shaved truffles, among other things, very fine wine (large selection!) and an equally good dessert. Plus extremely friendly and friendly service (in German!). Gladly again and thank you very much!

La Locanda di Torquato

05/08/2024: Tornato gia' diverse volte per portare amici e parenti a conoscere la cucina della Locanda di Torquato. Non abbiate fretta, alla signora Paola piace chiaccherare e raccontare, ne vale la pena per la bella conversazione e per i piatti che prepara. Un uso fantastico di erbe ed erbette locali e coltivate personalmente, aggiunge ai piatti quella carattristica che li porta ad un gusto fuori dall'ordinario. Avevo gia' mangiato, e bene, a Scansano e dintorni, ma qui siamo ad un livello ancora piu' alto. Tornato a pranzo, nonostante il caldo feroce, ho fatto un pranzo completo e non me ne sono pentito! Tutto da provare, dai primi ai dolci. Ci vedremo ancora :-)
