A beautiful, rustic hut with typical South Tyrolean food. The hiking trail mostly leads uphill (easy hike about 45 minutes) from the Oberwielenbach car park. Nice path that leads even further to another hut but we didn't do that again. As you can see in the pictures, it already snowed lightly on September 13, 2024.

It is the typical South Tyrolean mountain hut, it has everything you need! From the food, which is excellent, to the scenery, which is top notch. After a walk, it is an excellent place to stop and rest, while remaining in the beautiful context that is South Tyrol! Highly recommended!

After visiting the Pyramids of Perca this hut is the perfect destination to reach especially if you want to have an excellent lunch. The mountain hut is immersed in a beautiful panorama that can be reached with a comfortable walk but with a small difference in altitude. A forty minute walk on a wide dirt road that runs alongside a stream is enough. At the end, almost unexpectedly, the mountain hut appears alongside a stream. The food is excellent, the choice is not wide (as it should be) but everything is delicious and prepared with care. The homemade juices are special. The service is friendly but it is not possible to pay with a debit card. Prices are quite balanced. Advised.

Very characteristic hut in a beautiful environment and easy to reach. The walk from the Wielental car park, just before the junction for the earth pyramids, is slightly sloping for the first 5-10 minutes then it softens and is really pleasant. Excellent typical food, generous portions and very kind staff. Bring cash as the POS is not available (at least until August 2024).

Excellent service, excellent quality of dishes

A beautiful mountain hut about 45 minutes from the paid car park along the road to Vila di sopra. It can be reached via an asphalted forest road for the first stretch and a beaten one in the second. The mountain hut appears on the other side of the stream, but before you see the scents reach you to guide you towards the middle. There will be around 30 seats inside, but other seats are on the terrace outside. We were able to taste some excellent tagliatelle ai pretendni, the chef's macaroni with a delicious speck sauce and to finish off with an apple strudel and a slice of Sachertorte. All very tasty and all with generous portions. The stop repaid us for the climb often under the sun to reach it. However, it can also be reached with children in tow or with strollers. Attention: credit or debit cards are not accepted for payment, only cash.

What you expect from a mountain hut in South Tyrol! A fairytale place, simple and genuine food, presented to customers with great care, very kind staff. Easily reachable with a 40 minute walk along a dirt road in the quiet and pleasant Vila Valley. And those who leave negative reviews take care..... We will return, even in winter.
