A total vibe. Hard to miss when you walk by: there's a lot going on. The staff has the same vibe: elated, enthusiastic and super nice. I had the octopus and it was one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is quirky, which makes you feel at home. Recommended!

The bistro with its internal courtyard is a marvel. The food is exquisite, there's a wide selection of wines, and the staff is incredibly kind and friendly.

What a gem Le Vin de l'Assassin is. We happened to walk by and the lights and decorations caught our eye, so we returned the next day and were blown away. So many intimate and unique touches-- hand written menus, beautiful lights, and of course incredible French-inspired Sicilian food. The Pumpkin Velouté was one of the best soups we'd had in a long time, the croque Madame was on point, and the beef with pepper sauce was just perfect. We chatted with the owner and staff for a bit-- truly interesting, friendly, fun people from all over the world. A perfect experience to end our trip to Ortigia and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a night of ambiance, great food, or French flair. Merci beaucoup!

My friend and I ate lunch here and loved it so much we returned for dinner that night! The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. I had the risotto and the salmon and after a month in Sicily they were two of my favourite meals. The staff were all very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Arnaud was our server and he made us feel so welcome and special. Definitely don’t miss out on eating here when you’re visiting Ortigia!
