While passing through Tuscany, we visited San Gimignano, a real gem, where we decided to spend the evening. It was by chance that we walked through the door of Vecchie Mura and what a lovely surprise. The staff is very friendly, the food excellent and the atmosphere exceptional with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape! I highly recommend! Thank you to the whole team for this delicious moment!

Nice restaurant with a great view. Delicious food for a reasonable price. Please wait a while, because it is busy. This can also be done with a drink.

Panoramic restaurant with a very suggestive view over the entire valley. We took a Fiorentina which seemed good, just a little fat. Even though we had a reservation we were not greeted immediately. All in all a positive experience

Unbelievable view and fantastic Tuscan fare. This place fills up quickly so I’m glad we got here right at opening for dinner. This place is a must-try while in San Gimignano!

The view is incredible, but consider for reservation they don’t answer the call and you need to reserve in person! They mostly serve meet and pasta! There is variety of options! I tried fiorentina (T-bone) which was good! The staffs are kind and can speak English. Try to be there during sunset!

Overall “okay”. The food was average, not bad but not so tasty that I would highly recommend it. We had the tomato bruscetta as well as tomatoes and mozzarella. Both delicious. For the main courses we chose gnocci with truffles and carbonara with truffles. The gnocci only had a few small pieces of truffle in the sauce. The carbonara was salty and because of that and the bacon the taste of the truffle was drowned out - a shame.

Lieviti Pizza-beer-italian Food

29/08/2024: When we stepped into Lieviti we were a little alarmed... there were only two occupied tables. Luckily as the night went on we realised we were just being extremely British by coming for dinner at 8pm... by 8.30pm the place was packed. The food was excellent, scratching the itch we had for wonderful pizza despite recognising it's not what Tuscany is known for. Service was a little more tricky, as language proved a bit of a barrier and as the restaurant filled up it was more challenging to get plates cleared and a bill sorted. But it was all understandable, and didn't negatively impact the experience. A great option while you're in Montepulciano.
25/08/2024: We were visiting Montepulciano and other places in the area and stopped to enjoy Neapolitan pizza at this pizzeria. You have to go down some stairs, as the place is underground and almost all the tables are under one roof and there are about fifteen of them. The menus are not delivered to the table, but rather wifi is provided to view the price list. From the name I expected a selection of different yeasts, but this was not the case. There is not much selection of pizzas, while the classic ones have a normal price, the special ones are very expensive. Very courteous waiters. The service was very fast, even in the delivery of the dishes, so I cannot confirm the reviews that speak of biblical times. The pizzas were very good and the dough too, but everything was normal, not exceptional.

26/08/2024: Excellent pizzeria. All the staff are very kind and helpful. Very nice, simple, private and relaxing environment. We ate in the courtyard, reservations are recommended to eat on the terrace. Great background music. Delicious pizzas, light and soft dough. The list includes many classic pizzas and some very interesting special ones, such as the white one with egg and vegetables.
21/08/2024: Excellent time spent in this restaurant. The pizzas are delicious, the setting is splendid and the service is fast and efficient. Absolutely worth testing if you pass by.
