Le Trote In Dolceacqua

Very very nice little place just outside the center of Dolceacqua, with a fantastic internal lake and scenic tables. The pizza is really good! They were very kind and found us a place even though it was late and without a reservation on a busy evening.

It's not the first time I've frequented this place. The food as usual is delicious and of excellent quality. The view and location are stunning. I have already left a positive review, but I had to change it due to the service. The waiters, in addition to forgetting cutlery and glasses (there can be some distractions during busy periods), during the service they shout from one side to the other at some place to accommodate customers or variations or where they should be served ("look, the chips no longer go to the table x take them to the table y, move the table, go set the table...etc etc continuously all evening), a waiter swears because he was spilling something, they drop glasses because they run and crash. The icing on the cake, the waiter comes to clear the table and with his fingers signals me to move and pass him the plate 😱 ok I'll pass it to you out of kindness, but you don't give me that signal to move, or with words you ask me out of courtesy. Having closed the parenthesis of the service, the place deserves it.🔝

The first 4/5 star dinners. Last half star, even though we booked 10 days before they reserved a table for us at the bottom of the lake with no lighting, practically a dinner in the dark. Terrible experience despite the appreciable menu, I can also say about the service but I don't want to be rude. Obviously not recommended in this context.

If you are on holiday there and the local population is well represented there, then you know it is good. It was. Had 2 courses, ravioli and tonno. The kids pizza. Everyone was satisfied, the best pizza in Italy so far. Received a limoncello from the house as a gift. We were very satisfied.

Great restaurant, great food, excellent value for money and friendly, smiling staff. You can enjoy excellent quality meat and fish dishes and very good pizza.

A very beautiful place around a pond. The pizza is not the best you will eat in Italy, but the lamb skewers (Arrosticini) are very good, as is the meat generally. The service that evening was very complicated, crowded and not very efficient.

The appetizer of breaded porcini mushrooms and the porcini and truffle tagliolini were very good... a quiet and pleasant place, a beautiful pond with ducks and the sound of the waterfall in the background was very relaxing.

Nous sommes venus dîner avec nos amis belges, et nous avons passé un excellent moment Très bon accueil, un service formidable ,du personnel très impliqué et compétent et un patron au top. Nous avons goûté les raviolis à la truffe, un vrai délice, un super frittomixto, une assiette mixte de poissons . une pizza quatre fromages, (pour nous, la meilleure pizza de la Ligurie, )sans parler du vin de la région le Rossese, un nectar que nous a conseillé Mimo. On revient bientôt !!!!

Malheureusement au fil des années ce restaurant décline on est plus proche d’un fast-food que des restaurants typique ou familial on a pas beaucoup de choix en nous propose des apéritifs le vin et chaud pas de carte le service service et lamentable et on prend tout le monde pour des touristes une grosse déception par rapport aux autres visites il est temps qu’il se rattrape je ne le conseille plus
