Le Trote In Dolceacqua

We loved our evening! Just a one-minute drive from the center of Dolceacqua. The meal was perfect: excellent ribeye steak and pizza, delicious tiramisu, and a special mention for the pavlova… a real treat! We chose a red wine from Southern Italy and, after a little hesitation, we were kindly offered a taste to help us make our choice—a very thoughtful touch. At the end of the meal, we were offered limoncello and a small tasting of local pastries: a lovely touch that perfectly concluded the dinner. Everything was truly delicious and very reasonably priced! Ample parking available. We dined right when they opened, around 7 pm, which was ideal. The restaurant then quickly filled up and became quite noisy—the only slight drawback of the evening. We'll be back as soon as possible!

Wonderful place!!! We'll be back again! The meat was super delicious! They offered me myrtle liqueur for a digestif—I recommend it!!!😉 The staff is super polite and attentive!

Lunch on December 20, 2025 A spacious, pleasantly furnished restaurant located a few kilometers from the beautiful town of Dolceacqua. The menu is extensive, ranging from pizzas to grilled meats, including traditional Ligurian dishes. The food generally met expectations, with one exception: the fries were well-fried, the ravioli and capon magro were very good, but the brandacuiun was less appreciated, not so much for its flavor but, in our opinion, for the predominance of potatoes over stockfish. The staff is quick and courteous, but not always ready to answer questions. The wine list is reasonably extensive. Rating: 7.5

Excellent quality ingredients. The dishes are carefully crafted and cooked to perfection. I had the grilled calamari, which was cooked to perfection. I went to this pizza restaurant last night with family, and what can I say? It was a truly pleasant surprise. The food is good, to say the least, beautifully presented, but appearance doesn't matter if what's on your plate doesn't match the aesthetics. Here, however, the materials used to package the dishes are top-notch. The attentive and extremely friendly service was available to answer any questions. What more can I say? More than just a recommendation, you need to try it, and then you can tell me.

Everything was delicious, the staff was wonderful and professional. The only flaw was that they didn't have apple pie. However, I had a lovely evening.

I went a few days before Christmas with my partner and son. When ordering, I was misled by the name, and I don't think I'm the only one. 😅 I looked everywhere on the menu for grilled or baked trout, and then the waiter confirmed it wasn't available. 😆 Next, we ordered an excellent steak tagliata, a Margherita steak: good, and I ordered the grilled chicken with baked potatoes: exquisite. A sausage with potatoes, also very good. All the ingredients were genuine. Then my son had the profiteroles, which he devoured, I had the tiramisu, which was delicious, and my partner had the cheesecake, but she wasn't very enthusiastic. The service was very fast. My partner said the wine was good, and at the end of the service we were offered limoncello. I didn't try that because I've decided to take a teetotal sabbatical.

Best restaurant in the area! They serve traditional cuisine with a truly extensive menu.

A very good Italian restaurant. A very friendly, family atmosphere. The setting is lovely. The pizzas are excellent, as are the pasta and chicken. We'll be back. Remember to book ahead as it gets very busy...

The waiter wasn't very friendly (annoyed because we weren't choosing quickly enough). Another waiter, who was Latino, knew nothing about wines. The pizza and dessert were very good. It was quite noisy, with a separate children's area. The prices are reasonable.
