And if you’re feeling adventurous, they’ve got all the traditional local classics on the side - yes, even horse stew for the brave souls out there. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, like sitting down at your neighbor’s kitchen table where everyone’s family and you know you’re going to leave full, happy, and maybe a little nostalgic. Now, I don’t even need a map. My feet just lead me straight back, no questions asked. If you want solid pizza and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe without any fuss, Le Strittule is your place.

But the real stroke of genius is the Golosone: a golden fried batter, stuffed with 100% quality sausages, fresh tomatoes, ketchup and – of course – chips. It costs only €2.50, and it’s a bomb of flavor. Perfect for a quick snack or an alternative dinner. 💶 Prices: One of the rare places where you leave satisfied and with your wallet still full. The portions are generous and the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. 🪑 Spaces: In the summer they have set up outdoor tables, ideal for enjoying the beautiful Salento days. In the winter, however, you can sit inside, in a simple but welcoming room, with a TV to keep you company. 👥 Atmosphere: Informal and friendly, you immediately feel at ease. Guys, don't miss it, Ugo, Andrea and Mrs. Maria cook and serve in a loving way, you eat very well and it's like feeling at home, don't forget to take the puccia salentina with pieces of horse meat made on the spot!

The most amazing local street food around. Rolls made from homemade dough, filled with cheese, prosciutto, salad, veggies and so on... Local recipes are served by portion, like pitta, focaccia pugliese, vegetable filled pastry and many other things you'll be delighted to try. I've had beer, but I saw very nice local wines (by the bottle) in their stock. As it is a pedestrian zone, I personally enjoyed the quietness, even if it's few meters away from the traffic. The prices... Find out yourself. Very nice people. Highly recommended.
