My partner and I, a chef and a gourmet, were visiting the village and stopped for lunch at this little restaurant in the historic center. At the suggestion of Stefano, the restaurant manager, we chose the daily menu, and had the pleasure of sampling authentic, down-to-earth, no-frills cuisine, yet beautifully presented, with the wonderful flavor of local ingredients. They produced their own cured meats and cheeses, a variety of fresh pasta made with local grains, including Senatore Cappelli, fantastic desserts, and much more, all at an excellent value. We'll definitely be back!

Sunday in February, the only restaurant open in Pietrapertosa. Luckily, we found the last free table. A €25 menu with a typical Lucanian appetizer, two first courses, and dessert. Exceptional dishes, local cured meats and cheeses, and homemade pasta. Friendly service. Best dish: a first course with crusco peppers, walnuts, and toasted bread, and a magnificent homemade pasta dish. Recommended.

At Piccolo Ristoro Le Rocce, we enjoyed typical homemade dishes, deeply rooted in tradition. Both the first and second courses are excellent and allow you to rediscover the authentic flavors the region has to offer.

This experience made our day. The restaurant is located in a beautiful town in the mountains. All the food is homemade. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed every single dish. The food was homemade and delicious. The whole experience was made even more pleasant by Stefano, who was very friendly and helpful. This family restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

This is our favorite place. We've been back years later and it still feels like home. Stefano welcomed us warmly and, above all, professionally, sharing the history of each dish and ingredient in an engaging way. The flavors transport you back to the cuisine of the past. They manage to bring out every single ingredient, enhancing it without overwhelming it. The atmosphere is comfortable, the food is spectacular, this place should be a must-visit for anyone passing through Pietrapertosa who doesn't want to go wrong!

We stopped by chance at this small haven of conviviality, lost in the nature of Basilicata: a corner of tradition that captivated us immediately.
This family-run restaurant carries on a historic tradition and transported us to a world far removed from our daily lives of superficiality and industrialization.
The food, recommended to us by the owner, is an exquisite blend of quality, experience, culture, research, and simplicity.
Throughout lunch, we were accompanied by stories about the dishes and more: also by thoughtfulness and attention, always attentive to every little need.
