Excellent little restaurant nestled in the beautiful village of Pietrapertosa. We dined without a reservation on a Sunday with our two dogs in tow. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, as well as passionate, and explained the menu in detail. Traditional Lucanian food, excellent. We had a set menu and two main courses featuring locally sourced meats: pork rib and sausage, both delicious and top-quality. The first courses and house dessert were also excellent. The house wine was a real surprise. We will definitely be back.

We were surprised to find this restaurant serving local cuisine, described with true passion by the restaurateur. Authentic dishes with excellent flavors.

I went with my family last Sunday. What can I say, simply fantastic, excellent quality products, excellent preparation, not to mention the attention and care for the customer. And the price, 25 euros for the tasting menu, because it's true, it's not a tourist menu, but a real tasting menu: appetizer, two first courses, and dessert... and I recommend, don't call it a tourist menu or the boss will get angry :)

If you are looking for a cozy, little restaurant in this peaceful village, this one is the best choice. The food is very good and the family’s members are so nice and warm. We had a great evening there. Totally recommend it.

An exceptional culinary experience, featuring typical, homemade products. A journey through superior quality food. There's a family atmosphere, with special attention paid to traditional produce. I can't believe the negative reviews I've read. Either they're being dishonest or they only have one taste bud.

Nothing to complain about the quality of the products, all excellent. The appetizer portions were truly modest. However, the main flaw is the service. Let me explain: we witnessed the owner loudly and rather unpleasantly (given the room was crowded) scolding the waiter for breaking a plate. When we complained, the owner always responded very rudely. He almost told us to go to hell. I don't feel like recommending...

Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, il menù era semplice ma ricco di piatti tipici lucani. Il locale era arredato con testimonianze della civiltà contadina, sembrava di essere in un piccolo museo. Il proprietario, giovane, ci ha intrattenuto con spiegazioni e racconti, e lo stesso faceva con tutti gli ospiti stranieri, dimostrando un'ottima padronanza delle lingue.

E' difficile che noi si sia trovato un ristorante dove, appena sulla soglia, vieni avvolto da una serie di profumi e di aromi che ti proiettano indietro nel tempo, quando le cucine erano a legna e i tegami di creta delicatamente incrostati della semplicità contadina di utilizzare tutto ciò che "rumina" in libertà o cresce spontaneo attorno alla tua casa, frutto di dedicazione, sudore e lavoro. Ti siedi, in un ambiente che ricorda le semplici dimore dei tuoi nonni, tavoli che non sono isole, ma sufficientemente vicini per incontrare con lo sguardo tutti i tuoi " fratelli" commensali. Questa ultima annotazione rispecchia la filosofia del locale: tutti sono uguali, tutti ascoltano i dettagliatissimi consigli del maestro di sala, tutti contrattano il menù, praticamente, con tutti, e tutti ammiccano verso l'altro tavolo in segno di accordo. Poi, dalle cucine, appare, rapidissimamente, la cuoca che porta fin sulla tavola quello che ha cucinato: stupendo! Sughi meravigliosi e meravigliosamente sinceri, coronamento di orecchiette, strascinati, tagliatelle ed altra pasta fatta rigorosamente in casa, come recitano le mani della cuoca, a ben vedere, ancora incipriate di farina. E poi, le carni, a chilometro zero, servite, se vuoi (così abbiamo scelto noi), con delle erbette " selvatiche" ripassate in padella, che valgono da sole tutto il pranzo. Ci siamo alzati da tavola con la voglia di abbracciare tutti coloro che lavorano in questo ristorante uno ad uno, e ringraziarli di tanto bellissimo calore. Superlativo.
