The food was really good, but they didn’t have patience to deal with non-Italian speakers, so if you don’t speak Italian the service will not be good as they will not do efforts to understand you, which is the case all over Port-Torres

The owner, a man who works very well, super attentive to his customers, the restaurant's waitresses seem to be doing well working in that place, seeing that they are kind and work as a team. The dishes are good, filling and prices are out of the ordinary, that is, they are Honest, a truly unique thing in this city. For a quieter dinner without the noise of groups inside the premises, it is better to eat outside on the terraces. Central, large, gentle and hard-working. I like

Spectacular pizza! Cooked to perfection, light dough and very fresh ingredients. The sea view is the icing on the cake. I will definitely be back!

They've made some notable changes since we last went Both the restaurant and the pizzeria have acquired various additional points, friendly and fast staff, congratulations to the owner Alessandro for how he manages everything in the best possible way

The pizzas were the best of our 15 days in Sardinia, the service was 10. We enjoyed dinner with our dog on the terrace. They invited us to the shots and the price was very good.

I ate with my family in this restaurant found by chance. We ate very well with a starter of fish and mussels, fried calamari and shrimp (very good), abundant grilled fish, all accompanied with some Akenta prosecco. Friendly and very professional staff. Now I know where to eat well the next time I pass through these parts.

We had dinner here overlooking the port on the very pretty veranda, although you might think that the cars nearby would disturb you, in reality the atmosphere was pleasant. We took 2 pizzas, both good with a soft crust and a second course, fried calamari and prawns, the right portion and good. The service is good. Definitely a nice little place.

17/12/2024: Super recommended local place. We went for a dinner with fish specialties and the place absolutely did not disappoint us, from the attentive, friendly and kind staff, to the very nice and well-kept place, to the food, excellent and with fresh local products. Among the additional choices also the catch of the day supplied by local fishermen and with refined and tasty dishes. We had mussel soup, bavette with monkfish and prawns, linguine with swordfish and scampi. Everything really excellent, congratulations. Honest prices considering the complex, and obviously the raw material. The two of us spent 70 including the house wine (Cantine Santa Maria la Palma Alghero, excellent wine). We will be back

Pausa Caffè

04/09/2024: My wife and I noticed this cafe on our travels during our 10-day stay in Alghero and we were keen to try it for lunch. I'm pretty sure they only serve breakfast and lunch and NOT dinner but, no doubt the business owner can correct me, if that's wrong. We called in at about 1.50pm on Sunday 1 September 2024 (they close at 3pm on Sundays, we believe). What a lovely surprise it was and just as good as we hoped it would be. We ordered Formaggio Arrosto to share as a starter. After that we chose Gnocchetti Alla Campidanese and a Bomba Salad for our main courses. These were served with 5 (yes, 5!) bread rolls. The portions were very generous and the quality of the starter, main courses and even the bread rolls was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. We sat and enjoyed the very Italian atmosphere of male customers and female staff talking in that loud, expressive, Italian way. All accompanied by music from the tv. The ladies who served us were really friendly and professional and the cafe style is modern, clean and fun. All in all a memorable experience for us. We won't go back but only because we'll probably never be back in Alghero. But anyone reading this and thinking of lunch really should try Pausa Caffe. I can't vouch for the breakfasts, because we only had lunch but the food, service and atmosphere were all first class. Update of Wednesday 4 September 2024 - We enjoyed our first meal here so much that we chose the Pausa Caffe for our final meal in Alghero, before flying home, as we enjoyed eating here more than anywhere else we'd tried. On this second occasion we ordered two salads, a Caesar and a Salmon and both were superb, again served with bread rolls. We had to wait until 12.30pm, as they don't serve lunch until then so we just sat and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere again. Perfect! Lots of locals, obviously well-known to the staff made for a lovely friendly experience. A wonderful, final memory of Alghero. We would definitely recommend.
01/09/2024: Delicious (very big) English breakfast. Even for two there is enough to eat. Delicious coffee and chocolate/pistachio croissants. Very nice and helpful staff ☀️
