Le Nicchie In Bari

At first glance, it looks upscale. But then there are a few drawbacks for the price! Despite having made a reservation, we were given an uncomfortable table even though better ones were available. Obviously untrained staff brought incomplete cutlery, forgot the bread, poured beer into the wine glass. Polpo (20€) was tasty in itself but the salad bed was bitter, no olive oil, only when asked for that - balsamic vinegar, pepper/salt not available. House wine was really cheap! Food intolerances were taken into account. The atmosphere was quite nice.

Great restaurant! A friend of ours from Venice recommended this to us and we were not disappointed. Great local place with delicious food and fantastic service.

Characteristic place in the heart of Bari Vecchia, a stone's throw from the sea. We happened to be there yesterday for dinner, getting lost in the various alleys, and we returned today for lunch by choice. Excellent cuisine, all the dishes are cooked to order and the special feature of the bread with toasted oil and served hot as soon as you sit at the table is truly the plus that makes you feel at home, not to mention the truly genuine and friendly service. In short, everything was perfect and we will definitely be back.

Small restaurant, but excellent dishes worth it.

it's Sunday evening and we still have to book a table for quite a large number of people. After several unsuccessful attempts, time is running out and we decide to call Le Nicchie. Luckily we find availability, they welcome us kindly and from then on it's all a crescendo of beautiful emotions from the friendliness of the staff to the decidedly exquisite cuisine with high quality dishes made on the spot from spaghetti all'assassina to stuffed mussels without forgetting the orecchiette and octopus, each superlative dish accompanied by an excellent house white wine, exceptional desserts even for the most demanding gourmands. after a whole day of rain we wouldn't want to go to "Le Nicchie" anymore! a really welcoming place where you can eat quality food and spend the right amount. Highly recommended

Very professional yet warm owner, she was very accommodating and kind. Grilled fish also very delicious. Obviousness of FRESH ingredients!

Nice and cosy restaurant. Delicious food. Even a simple dish like sausage was an explosion of taste with the potatoes and peppers side dish :). Also, friendly staff. Definitely recommend. The best restaurant in our 3 days stay in Bari !
