If you're visiting Bari you need to eat at Le Nicchie. The food is fantastic and very traditional, I would highly recommend the grilled sea bream and octopus, along with the Ragu. The staff are all lovely and very attentive, as are the owners! When we went back the next day with more people and kids they were really accommodating and were great with the kids. I couldnt recommend Le Nicchie more, make sure you get there early/late or book in advance!

Excellent service! One of the best octopuses I've ever eaten! The Parmegiana was very good, as was the tiramisu.
Too bad you can't tip by credit card :)

Excellent, fantastic food, everything fresh and very delicious. The owner is wonderful, creates a great atmosphere with conversation and smiles. I highly recommend this place. The food is one of the best in Bari... the appetizers, the octopus... delicious.

Le Nicchie is one of those hidden gems you stumble upon and never forget. Honest cuisine, authentic Italian dishes with simple yet masterfully crafted ingredients. No matter what you order on the menu, you're on your way to an experience you might even tell your grandchildren about.

Das Restaurant drinnen ist sehr gemütlich (5*); die Tische draussen stehen in einer lebhaften Gasse, welche das Personal ständig überqueren muss (4*). Möglicherweise mussten wir deshalb etwas länger auf unsere Bestellung warten (4*). Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Muscheln sowie die Dorade (Orata) war sehr fein (5*)! Auch gab es fein gegrilltes glutenfreies Brot. Preis-Leistung stimmt (5*). Wir kommen wieder.
