I spent a few days at Le Marmotte in Acceglio with a CAI group from Bergamo. I returned this evening and want to write about this wonderful experience right away: the welcome was warm from the moment we arrived, albeit a bit hectic. The service was impeccable, the food was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in the quiet of a pristine valley, and transportation to the starting point of our snowshoe hikes was provided by Sherpabus, with very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable local drivers. I recently celebrated my mother's birthday with lunch at this beautiful place nestled in the mountains. Each dish was carefully presented, and the food was a delight. The tart made especially for the celebration was remarkable: superb!

A very nice hotel, furnished with great attention to detail. Centrally located in Val Maira with easy access to all ski touring destinations. A drying room for boots, plenty of guidebooks, and literature to browse. Excellent food, highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. The managers, Alessandro and Annalisa, and their entire team go out of their way to ensure you have an excellent stay. Comfortable rooms and living areas, tasteful decor, generous and delicious meals, fresh and local ingredients, expert advice on ski touring routes, a dedicated space and equipment for waxing skis, and a convenient location near numerous ski lifts—everything is there. Thank you again for your warm welcome and kindness.

This is our second stay at the Le Marmotte Hotel and Restaurant. We had a wonderful time both times: the staff were very welcoming, the extra services for hikers were excellent, and the food was delicious.

Incredible experience at the Auberge des Marmottes in Aceglio. The inn is very well located and allows you to do all kinds of ski touring routes. The owner and cook gives us advice in the evenings for our hikes. There are maps, books on ski touring, and even a place to tinker and repair skis. Not to mention the boot dryer. The rooms have been recently renovated and are extremely comfortable. To top it all off, the evening meals are worthy of a gourmet restaurant. The breakfasts are designed for hikers with wholemeal bread, ham, eggs, homemade cakes, yogurt, excellent coffee, and more. We felt truly at home at the Marmottes. We also received a very warm welcome. Thank you!

This is our second stay at Les Marmotte. We feel right at home; it's a real cozy nest. Alessandro spoils us with his delicious meals, and Annalisa is always attentive to ensure we have a pleasant stay. The team around them is fantastic. It's a beautiful place to indulge our passion and return to a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the evening.

20/02/2026: I've been to eat here, and honestly, it's a confirmation every time. We always have a great time. The food is truly excellent, but the most surprising thing is the quality-price ratio. A price that's extremely rare these days for such a complete and quality dinner. With a pizza appetizer, two first courses, two desserts, two coffees, water, and a cover charge, the service came to €35 per person, a more than affordable price (obviously, the final cost of the dinner varies depending on your personal choice of dishes). In any case, you'll be satisfied, amazed, and will go home with a new place to add to your list of places to return to :) The first courses are rich and flavorful, the desserts spectacular, the pizzas very light and super digestible. You can tell they pay attention to the ingredients and preparation. The place is welcoming, the atmosphere quiet and pleasant, perfect for both a relaxed dinner and an evening with friends. The staff deserves a special mention: kind, polite, smiling, and truly attentive. They don't treat you like a simple customer, but as a person welcomed with care and warmth, an attention that makes all the difference. A place I recommend without a doubt. We'll be back again, and again, and again.
