We only visited the restaurant twice. It was delicious both times; the wild boar, fillet, and miale (?) with mustard sauce and red pepper is highly recommended. One criticism is that the portion sizes were different both times, even though it was the same dish. Full marks because you can talk to the chef, and our concerns were recognized and taken into account. We'll be back :-)

I returned after many years for personal reasons. The location is very welcoming. The menu got a nice 7 only because the tagliata was a bit tough but good. The rest, from appetizers to dessert, was largely satisfactory and I don't understand the bad reviews. Prices were reasonable. The owner was very kind.

We stopped by for lunch while traveling. The starters were excellent and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, perfect for a refreshing break!

IL CONTEDINO

18/11/2024: Abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante durante un weekend in Val d'Orcia. Si trova poco sotto Siena in zona strategica, con ampio parcheggio. Interno piuttosto anonimo. Dal menù abbiamo scelto i primi, con pasta fatta da loro. Interessanti i pici carbonara e tartufo, anche se la carbonara non era molto saporita (forse volutamente, per non coprire l'aroma del tartufo). Buoni gli altri primi come anche i dolci di produzione propria. Prezzo corretto, in linea con le aspettative.
01/09/2024: Il locale e’ carino e gentile il personale . Il cibo è medio : una carbonara al tartufo abbastanza insapore , meglio i tagliolini al petto d’oca affumicato . Per avere poi una insalata mista e due porcini fritti abbiamo aspettato oltre 40 minuti e , come si può vedere dalla foto , la preparazione dell’insalata abbastanza approssimativa . Non ci ha impressionato .

02/04/2025: Wonderful. New management, new name: CONTRASTI: molecular kitchen. The owner or chef Christian was very attentive, and everything was delicious, a fantastic bread and all food.! I would like to go back to try the tasting menu!
