Good Sicilian food, and lots of kindness

The perfect Sicilian meal – recommended as a fish and seafood tip in a guidebook, we set out to find it and were more than rewarded: Excellent cuisine, from the appetizers to the pasta dishes to the main courses – everything was wonderful! We had the white "Vino di Casa" with it – also excellent. Very friendly and relaxed service. What a wonderful overall experience!

Beautiful Sicilian experience in Scicli, do not miss! Most fresh gamberi, pulpo, calamari ever. Spontaneous service, beatifull jazz music and quality way above prices. Grazie mille maestro

We had a fantastic dinner here during our stay in Scicli! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and welcoming. You can really feel the passion for great hospitality. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Scicli!

We went to this place on the recommendation of friends in the area. Located on the edge of the riverbed behind the beautiful Palazzo Spadaro and in front of the equally beautiful Patanè in the center of Scicli, this Sicilian restaurant strikes first of all for the very typical environment, then for the sign at the entrance which describes what the place actually is 'this is not a restaurant' and in fact Le Gioie is not a restaurant in the strict sense. It's more of a convivial experience, an interaction between Fiorenzo and Cristina (excellent chef) and their customers but perhaps it would be better to say their friends because that's how they make you feel. The magic and expectations of the place are then confirmed by the beautiful menu written in pencil, by the soft lights, by the furnishings that exude what we were looking for, typicality. We took a first course each (Orecchiette Tenerini with toasted datterino datterino breadcrumbs and ricotta salata for both), as a second course two portions of fantastic swordfish (VERY FRESH!!!) 😊 combined with two other side dishes (caponata and fantastic baked peppers seasoned with red onion, almonds and raisins) to finish with two excellent ice creams and two coffees rigorously served with mocha on a tray and two Amara bitters. I conclude by saying that we will certainly return as soon as possible to this typical Sicilian "non-restaurant" which has won over both our palates and, above all, our hearts.
