It happened by chance on the weekend of the Mugello GP in June 2023, my father and I discovered this village and this pizzeria, which amazed us with its welcoming and charming, medieval-style atmosphere. The pizzas were good, but what delighted us were the desserts, kindly recommended by the friendly and entertaining owner and his excellent chef wife: first the cheesecake and then the pistachio panna cotta won me over and I would return to this characteristic village also for these desserts. Compliments!

It was an amazing experience! We were there by accident. We stayed overnight in an agritourism farm nearby. The visit to Anita and her husband turned out to be a cultural and culinary highlight of our trip to Tuscany! Wonderful and heartwarmingly hospitable people! Without them, our trip would not be a real meeting with Italy. They invited us to dinner for friends. For free! Because we knocked on a day when the place was closed to customers and they didn't want to leave us hungry! Unparalleled hospitality if you run a culinary business. But! Most importantly. Anita has a great gift for pizza! You can eat great pizza, appetizers and desserts there. It was a real meeting with warm and kind people and their friends. A simple visit for pizza can turn into a very nice family meeting! Anyone looking for authentic hospitality, Italian and simply human - must visit this place! We will definitely come back! Good pizza and pleasant environment

We recently discovered "Le Carceri del Podestà" in Serravalle Pistoiese, and it was a delightful experience. The pizzas are amazing. We tried several, and the ones that surprised us the most were the white pizzas; the one with potatoes cooked in a wood oven, a marvel. Afterwards, we decided to return with our son and opt for an outdoor dinner in the garden. This experience was even more magical and added a special touch to the evening. We had the opportunity to taste a greasy slice with beans cooked in a wood oven and spring onion. An exquisite dish, or as our son commented: “It surprised me”. We also tried the panna cotta with pistachios, a dessert so delicious that we couldn't resist and ordered it again when we returned. It is clear that in this restaurant they put passion and effort into the preparation of the dishes. Emilio and Anita, the friendly owners, clearly love what they do and this passion shines through in the dishes they serve. In short, we are delighted to have found this jewel where the passion for cooking translates into a delicious gastronomic experience and we can't wait to return to enjoy their delicacies again. We recommend a visit if you are around Serravalle Pistoiese. Enjoy your meal!

"Interactive" pizzeria where we tasted an excellent pizza with quality ingredients presented by the friendly owner, Mr. Emilio, who will explain the dough, cooking methods and any information needed to enjoy an excellent evening. Location with a small internal garden illuminated by strings of very pretty light bulbs and a very suggestive internal environment.

Iniziamo dalla location, discreta, si mangia in un giardino, chiamiamolo così e la temperatura anche in agosto è buona, la pizza, come ho scritto nel titolo, ha dei punti a favore e altri no. Il lato positivo è che gli ingredienti sono ottimi e il sapore è veramente al top, la pasta pur essendo molto digeribile, è a mio modo di vedere un po' troppa come peso,nel senso che alla fine non risulta una pizza molto leggera, ma il lato che è negativo si riferisce ai prezzi, sono fuori mercato, un antipasto toscano a 14,50 euro è spropositato per la qualità e la varietà, ma anche le pizze, pur rimarcando la qualità degli ingredienti, sono troppo care, a parte qualcuna sotto i 10 euro le altre li superano alla grande e arriviamo anche a 14,50 euro per una pizza, risultando veramente prezzi esagerati. Noi abbiamo preso un antipasto, due pizze, un dolce, mezzo litro di vino alla spina e un grappino ( 5 euro ) anche questo esagerato e il conto finale è stato di 68 euro, veramente troppo.

Locale nel centro del borgo di Serravalle P.se...in un bel giardino ed oasi di freschezza...servizio efficiente e cortese...pizza ottima con impasti ricercati e particolari.
