What a treat! Our only problem was trying to decide what we were going to buy. The options were limitless, and the flavors were awesome. Best chocolate selection in Lucca. The prices were very reasonable. They boxed our selections nicely. Easy to walk to from outside or inside the wall, plus the steps will help burn some of the calories.

Incredible gelato with several vegan / dairy free flavours. AIC certified so safe for coeliacs. Will definitely return when next in Lucca.

I've never tasted such good ice cream! The creaminess, the intense taste and the high-quality ingredients make every spoonful a pleasure. You can taste the love and quality in every variety. Absolutely recommended – I’ll definitely be back!

Gelateria spettacolare. Ogni volta che ci vado, prima di entrare faccio un bel respiro. Sì, perché mi devo concentrare per trattenermi, altrimenti comprerei tutti i pasticcini che hanno in vetrina. Devo dire che è dura resistere. Anche perché sennò cosa ci vado a fare in palestra? (ugh) Da quando li conosco penso di avere assaggiato quasi tutti i prodotti che hanno. La loro Torta Sacher, è un'arma di distruzione di massa da quanto è buona. E della Bontanella ne vogliamo parlare? Già il nome è geniale. Le Bontà + Nutella = Bontanella. Ma il gusto... Sa più di Nutella la Bontanella, che il gelato "Nutella" fatto dalla Ferrero che si trova al supermercato. Questa gelateria è una delle meraviglie di Lucca. Bravi!!

04/06/2025: We just stayed in Lucca for a month and Macon Lescaut was very close to where we stayed. We enjoyed several breakfasts and lunches here and were never disappointed. Everything was always fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The service was very friendly and it was nice when the server would remember us. It is right in Piazza Cittadella so also great for people watching!
25/05/2025: A bit too expensive, the coffee quality is great, but I wouldn't recommend the croissants

01/12/2024: Abbiamo fatto un fine settimana a Lucca e a cena ci siamo recati in questo locale . La scelta è stata ottima abbiamo mangiato pesce e tutto più che buono . Il personale gentile e professionale . Quando torneremo a Lucca sicuramente sarà un punto di riferimento per la cena .
18/11/2024: Assolutamente da consigliare. Locale accogliente, vicino al centro di Lucca, con un servizio impeccabile attento ai minimi dettagli (siamo stati accolti con un piacevole benvenuto di frittelle e bollicine). Prodotti freschi ed ottimi, pane e focaccia fatti direttamente da loro, porzioni abbondanti, buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, carta dei vini molto ricca. È una tappa da fare se si visita Lucca.
