Sometimes you quickly understand what a restaurant offers. The space is small but the tables lined up with the window show an interesting view of a historic intersection. The owner has an old-fashioned kindness and shows willingness to help even when the place is completely occupied by diners. At the tables the ladies guide the customer by illustrating dishes from the menu both from Modena and beyond. Each local recipe respects criteria of authenticity and observance of tradition. The cappelletti with capon broth, the egg with Apennine porcini mushrooms and Jerusalem artichokes and the classic trifle served in the form of a crème caramel are very popular. Sparkling Lambrusco accompanies lunch with a lively note. Prices in line with the quality

Looking at the menu, the first thing that catches your attention is that the first courses are typical Emilian dishes, while starters and second courses have little to do with Emilian cuisine, therefore I decide to have two first courses, cappelletti in broth, capon and tortelli alla pumpkin, accompanied with a delicious Lambrusco. It is a gourmet restaurant so portions are not generous and prices are higher than average. Recommended for very good first courses.
