Located in a small but enchanting village in the Asti hills, in the center between the Vezzolano Abbey and the Don Bosco sanctuary, between the larger centers of Moncalvo and Chieri. They have managed to renovate an old disused kindergarten into a beautiful restaurant that transports you into the past. The menu is also rich in history given the authenticity of the Piedmontese dishes. Clean and welcoming. Professional service. Price more than acceptable given the quality of the dishes.

Nel centro del paesino di Cerreto d’Asti, sulla strada che da Asti corre verso Chivasso, si trova questa osteria gestita dagli stessi titolari dell’Agriturismo Cà Mariuccia. Definirla osteria è un po’ riduttivo, sarebbe meglio dire che è un ristorantino gourmet a km zero. Eccellenti il pane, burro aromatizzato e acciughe di Sciacca e la finissima di coniglio alle erbe. Notevoli gli agnolotti monferrini burro e salvia. Buona la tagliata. Eccezionali le persi pien. Materie prime scelte con cura e cucinate come si deve. Servizio molto cordiale. Prezzi non proprio da osteria: per una cena si arrivano a superare tranquillamente i 50€. Più i vini. Un menù degustazione permetterebbe di conciliare alta qualità con prezzi sostenibili (nella zona). Bella la selezione dei vini di Cà Mariuccia, anche qui con prezzi non proprio da affezione.

Spinerola Restaurant

02/04/2024: We stayed one night in this farmhouse hotel. Clean, spacious and well furnished rooms. Dominant position where you can enjoy a beautiful view, excellent for those looking for a bit of tranquility. The farmhouse also offers a restaurant where you can eat very well. The owners are very kind as are the staff. We felt at ease. Recommended 👍
25/11/2023: This is a very special restaurant. The food we were served was exquisite - beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We had the Penelope wine (their own wine) to go with it, and the whole experience was perfect. Discreet service in a beautifully appointed, calm dining-room, with proper white damask table cloths and delicious grissini. The tables are set a good distance apart from one another so that you don't feel overheard or crowded, and the courses arrived at a perfect pace. After dinner, we went to the bar for a grappa, and sat on a comfortable sofa in front of which was a low glass table in whose centre burned a mass of candles in holders of differing heights, creating a beautiful atmosphere of the utmost comfort and joy. This meal was one of the highlights of our stay. And how marvellous to be able, afterwards, to just stagger up the stairs to bed, rather than get into the car and drive!! Can't beat that.
