Well...if you're in Colonnata, you can't miss lunch here...a very simple formula: a fixed-price tasting menu: charcuterie board, savory tart, giardiniera (pickled vegetables), fried pasta, and tagliatelle (a first course). Water, wine, and coffee are included...all prepared by Samantha's expert hands. You won't regret it...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It's best to book a table outside.

If you decide to spend a few hours in Colonnata, you can't miss the Lardarium "Lard Rock Café"! A restaurant nestled among the village's ancient houses, authentic and genuine, where the star is the excellent PGI lard. A fixed menu for just €20 offers a complete culinary experience: a generous platter of cured meats and cheeses with a delicious persimmon jam from the nearby tree; sweet and sour vegetables (purple cabbage, Savoy cabbage, and broccoli), a sampling of three homemade savory pies, and the inevitable fried sgabei (known in other parts of Tuscany as fried pasta). Dessert, water, wine, coffee, and liqueur are included. The dessert deserves a special mention: a delicious chili pepper chocolate cookie topped with lard... a unique explosion of flavors. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and familiar; the chef was very friendly and kind in taking care of us. Unbeatable value for money. On a positive note: we were with our dog, who was welcomed with open arms.

Our friends (Monica and Alessandro) brought us there, telling us about the food and how it's done. Everything was delicious and the highest quality products, from the sgabeo to the Colonnata lard. The freshly cut cold cuts were incredibly delicious. The rice cake was divine, and the lemon tart was incredible. In short, I felt right at home and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to try fantastic Colonnata lardo. Served with delicious cured meats and cheeses. The menu is a fixed price but generous. It's a small place, so reservations are recommended. A quaint restaurant just below the Colonnata square. Access is from the far end of the square, next to the Municipal Police station. A tunnel under the houses takes you to the steps on the left. Once you've reached the top, you're already inside. Cold cuts and traditional products are available. No set menu, or you can opt for a €20 entree to immerse yourself in the local flavors. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.

After a trip to the quarries, we continued to this "village." Parking in the square, you're greeted by several small restaurants, taverns, and bars, all offering almost the same thing, including the unmistakable lard and traditional dishes. We made this choice and recommend it. €20 all-inclusive, a fantastic platter, savory pies, pickled vegetables, a dessert, and a good glass of wine. Thank you.
