Excellent place to try fantastic Colonnata lardo. Served with delicious cured meats and cheeses. The menu is a fixed price but generous. It's a small place, so reservations are recommended. The hosts are fantastic: friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely return if we're in the area. Highly recommended.

A quaint restaurant just below the Colonnata square. Access is from the far end of the square, next to the Municipal Police station. A tunnel under the houses takes you to the steps on the left. Once you've reached the top, you're already inside. Cold cuts and traditional products are available. No set menu, or you can opt for a €20 entree to immerse yourself in the local flavors. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.

After a trip to the quarries, we continued to this "village." Parking in the square, you're greeted by several small restaurants, taverns, and bars, all offering almost the same thing, including the unmistakable lard and traditional dishes. We made this choice and recommend it. €20 all-inclusive, a fantastic platter, savory pies, pickled vegetables, a dessert, and a good glass of wine. Thank you.

Informal atmosphere. Homemade pasta and sgabei (fried pasta) are served with cured meats, cheeses, and the traditional lardo, which is also served in a unique combination of chocolate and chili pepper for dessert. Good prices. Advance reservations are recommended, as seating is limited.

I also really enjoyed what we in Emilia call gnocco fritto (have mercy on me, I don't remember the exact name). It wasn't greasy at all, warm and soft as a pillow, with just the right amount of saltiness. If you come to eat here, you have to try their rice cake. Even though I don't have a sweet tooth, it's delicious and moist. Another highlight is the wine. The house red is truly delicious, I loved it. I recommend that you always bring cash for any trip up here, regardless of this magnificent place. The nearest ATM is 8 km away, in Carrara, and if you come here, you won't be able to withdraw money if the POS or similar malfunctions. DO IT ESPECIALLY FOR THEM WHO LOVE THEIR JOB!❣️

Dopo una bella salitella in bici, ci concediamo un pranzetto nel regno del lardo e viste le ottime recensioni, approdiamo in questo simpatico locale dove troviamo molta disponibilità e altrettanta qualità nei piatti che l'allegro proprietario ci ha propinato.
