In the center of Colonnata, there's this quiet, simple place. The food is excellent...the mixed cold cuts and the fantastic sgabei. The owner is very nice and kind. Great price. I recommend it if you're in the area.

Lard Rock Café is a must-visit when in Colonnata. Thank you so much for everything: impeccable hospitality and attentive service, you can truly feel the passion and love for this work.
The Colonnata lard with cheeses and cured meats is extraordinary, it literally melts in your mouth. Also excellent is what we call gnocco fritto (sorry if I don't remember the local name): light, not at all greasy, warm, fluffy like a cloud, and just the right amount of flavor.
If you're passing by, you absolutely must try the tortelli al ragù: incredibly light and delicious, a real surprise. A special mention also goes to the wine: the house red is excellent, I loved it.

Well...if you're in Colonnata, you can't miss lunch here...a very simple formula: a fixed-price tasting menu: charcuterie board, savory tart, giardiniera (pickled vegetables), fried pasta, and tagliatelle (a first course). Water, wine, and coffee are included...all prepared by Samantha's expert hands. You won't regret it...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It's best to book a table outside.
