We first visited this place 2 years ago. It's a real family business, a really cool little place! The owner welcomed us with the same enthusiasm and passion as the first time. The food is delicious, the kindness is amazing! I can only recommend it!

I had a 4 day stay, I only ate here. Great in every way If you are going to Rome I recommend it with all confidence.

very nice restaurant with amazing food. everything we ate was great, pizza, beef, potato, all kinds of pasta. the service (especially the first night we visited) was great), we were seated quickly because it was not crowded. the desert with honey (which is not in the menu) literally melts in your mouth, the gelato was tasty but definitely overpriced (one small scoop of vanilla and one small scoop of hazelnut was 7€)

We popped into this restaurant while out sightseeing. Very friendly staff who speak excellent English. Restaurant was lovely and cool and a welcome respite from the heat. They have some tables outside too if you prefer. The service was very efficient, with just the right amount of time between ordering, drinks delivered to the table and then food arriving. The food was really tasty and a lovely glass (or two) of Prosecco to go with it. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

La comida era fantástica. Pez espada para mí, variedad de platos de pasta para la familia, disfrutados a fondo por todos. Nuestro servidor era muy amable y atento y no se burló de mí por mis terribles intentos de pronunciación Italiano. Y la cerveza grande es sin duda grande. Gran lugar, sin duda intentaré volver mientras estamos aquí y muy recomendable.

28/11/2025: The place is modern for traditional Roman cuisine (and I must say, it's delicious). The staff is very friendly and always attentive and helpful.
19/11/2025: The pizza is different from the ones we've had in Italy; they say it's one of the best, but it's nothing special, at least not to my taste. The rest of the food we ordered was pretty average for the price.

Papa Re

09/12/2025: A small restaurant in the Trastevere area. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great: the supplì sauce was a bit acidic, and the amatriciana tasted far removed from those I've tried at other restaurants. The puntarelle were fresh, but didn't blend well with the vinegar and sardines.
09/12/2025: Papa Re, located in Trastevere, is certainly one of those unique places with authentic Roman food. For a good meal, with a main course and a quarter of a glass of wine served in this charming jug, you will spend around €15. The food is very tasty, the wine is of good quality, and the atmosphere is comfortable. The place has a bathroom and free Wi-Fi for customers.
