L'Apulia In Roma

As a Pugliese, today I had lunch with you and I would like to compliment you on an excellent "Assassina", ditto the Grigliata with zampina, bombette and turcinielli, all quality products, I felt like I was at home in Puglia. Thanks for the excellent Puglian Lunch, we will see each other soon, to try other typical dishes and certainly the Panzerotti, on which I have heard so many compliments. A little Puglia in San Lorenzo. Very good octopus appetizer, first courses different from the usual and of another level. Friendly staff and speed of service. I'll be back.

Very good but too expensive for what we got!

The room is very welcomingly furnished. It's nice to read their story at the beginning of the menu and how they came to open this tavern. There is a very wide and interesting choice on the menu, we tried the fried cod in broad bean cream and caramelized onions to start. We couldn't take at least two calzones: delicious and really well filled, but be careful how filling they are. The first ones were about 6 or 7 but we would have taken them all: in the end we opted for the orecchiette with both turnip greens and Podorica ragù, both excellent. At the limit of satiety, a good pistachio pasticciotto just to end this dinner in style. Very courteous staff. With a water and 20% TF discount they spent a little more than €25 per person. I recommend arriving early to get a seat, especially on Saturdays.

Captivating location in its simplicity in the San Lorenzo district. Parking area quite easy for a fee. Apulian specialties and fish dishes. The raw ones are good and the panzerotti are fantastic. Don't forget the pucce... Desserts in line with the originality of the menus. The cellar is also very appreciable. Well done!

Ambiente sobrio ma ben curato. Buona cucina con piatti tipici della tradizione pugliese. Abbiamo voluto esplorare per la prima volta questo locale e vedere qualcosa di nuovo. L’impressione è stata abbastanza positiva. Abbiamo assaggiato i panzerotti (decisamente buoni) e gli spaghetti all’assassina (forse un po' troppo piccanti). Di livello sia la carbonara di polpo che gli gnocchetti con vongole e funghi cardoncelli, un buon e ben riuscito connubio. Normale il pasticciotto alla crema. Il personale molto premuroso e servizievole. I prezzi adeguati al livello delle portate senza particolari eccessi. Merita di ritornarci per esplorare le altre proposte che dalla lettura del menù risultano promettere la gioia delle papille gustative

Very nice set up place, amazing Apulian cuisine with a good price/quality ratio!

Ristorante situato in zona San Lorenzo, offre cucina tipica pugliese: il polpo la fa da padrona, lo propongono in vari modi. Siamo stati per pranzo in questo locale. Per iniziare abbiamo preso un tris di bruschette (stracciatella e alici, prosciutto di tonno e pomodorini, salmone e pomodori secchi): una più buona dell'altra, le consiglio vivamente; a seguire abbiamo preso una grigliata di mare con verdure grigliate di contorno e tonnarelli al ragù di polpo: i prodotti della grigliata eccezionali sia per quanto riguarda il sapore che la cottura, il tonnarello è da 10 e lode, porzione abbondante e molto saporita. Personale di sala cortese, disponibile in tutto e per tutto, simpaticissimo. Rapporto qualità/prezzo imbattibile, ancora complimenti, sicuramente torneremo per riassaggiare il polpo in altri modi!

I have Puglia in my heart and this small restaurant in San Lorenzo has awakened many happy memories in me. A simple place but enriched with beautiful photos (the one of the "curling" of the octopus is beautiful) and small everyday objects in use in the last century. And what about the tiles with all the most typical sayings in the Apulian dialect? But the best thing is the cuisine... a dive into the good things of the past, such as the inevitable orecchiette with turnip tops (delicious!). The platter of cold cuts and cheeses was rich and tasty, the spaghetti all'assassina spicy and tasty just right. And the panzerotto? It took me back in time when, very young, I went to Bari for the first time with my future husband, a true Apulian, and obviously, like all those who face it for the first time, I was "burned" and it was love at first bite! I will definitely come back to try the octopus which, as far as I can understand, reigns supreme in the kitchen! Thank you for the beautiful and delicious dinner!

Locale con posti al coperto ed all’aperto, in una strada che non è molto trafficata nel fine settimana. Ambiente con tavoli di legno, sedie scomode, apparecchiatura di carta. Menù prevalentemente con preparazioni della tradizione pugliese e alcuni piatti originali. Antipasto Apulia abbondante (basta per due), polpo grigliato piuttosto duro, orecchiette alle cime di rapa troppo amarognole, buoni i ciceri tria e baccalà, tiramisù poco significativo. Non ci è stato specificato che la burrata e taralli sbriciolati sulle orecchiette implicava un sovrapprezzo. Vino rosso della casa discreto. Cucina con alcuni spunti interessanti, non sensazionale. Servizio gentile. Per un antipasto, un primo ed un dolce abbiamo pagato circa 35 euro a persona con lo sconto di the Fork.
