Fresh, smart and very nice restaurant. Very attentive and friendly staff, Elena immediately made us feel at home and pampered. Traditional Apulian dishes passed with flying colors. PanzArotto made properly with light and fried pasta without traces of oil, the perfect killer pasta. In homage to Roman cuisine, an excellent reinterpretation of carbonara with octopus instead of bacon. Really large portions and chef Tempesta also let us taste a portion of drunk octopus while waiting for the first courses which required long cooking times. In short, a little place with Apulian DNA that offers Raffo beer on tap and offers you (always the excellent Elena) a homemade rosolio. The location is very central and right in the middle of the nightlife but it remains faithful to its heritage and eschews "fashion" which is always fleeting. The products on sale are also excellent, such as the real freselle from Puglia, nice solid ones, not that light stuff full of holes that you find around. In short, a place to return to try the many exciting dishes that Chef Tempesta prepares with Salento mastery!

A slice of Puglia in Rome. The restaurant is located in the San Lorenzo district, it does not have private parking but it is possible to leave the car in the surrounding streets (if you are lucky even in free spaces). Apulia is the classic fish restaurant. The place is furnished, however, in a careful and characteristic way. The tables and chairs are made of wood, on the walls we can find paintings that recall the sea and Puglia (images of trulli and fishermen intent on their work), we can find shelves with traditional Italian objects (such as old coffee pots) and small paintings in ceramic with phrases and aphorisms in Apulian dialect. All this helps diners to immerse themselves in the philosophy of the place, as well as sit in a clean and welcoming place. The service is precise and informal at the right point, the times are adequate. You can book by calling or from the site. I would like to focus on the latter. It's structured really well. The layout is engaging and intuitive and the various photos communicate both the culinary offering and the history of the owners very well. Good job. I took advantage of the all you can eat panzerotti formula, so I will describe them but the menu is extensive and focuses mainly on fish (rightly so). The panzerotti are delicious. The frying is correct, they are not soaked in oil so to speak, and they are super stuffed. The mozzarella is stringy and the ingredients are tasty, of high quality and present in generous quantities. The classic is absolutely worth trying, even like the one with ricotta, mozzarella and tomato. I also really liked the "San Vito" with octopus, which seemed fresh to me, but I'll put my hand forward by saying that I'm not a great fish expert. But even if it was frozen, it was a quality "fresh" frozen one. I can't wait to return for the rest of the menu too. 15 euros, drinks not included, for unlimited panzerotti is more than fine. If you want to spend an evening in Puglia, Apulia is for you. Must try and return!

Excellent food and punctual service, but better to eat inside and not outside given the smog and chaos of the area

Ristorante pugliese a San Lorenzo. Servizio veloce e cordiale. Prezzi nella media elevata romana.

vino tinto

17/01/2025: It is a somewhat particular place in its own way. It's an experience worth trying. It's not just drinking... it's also possible to eat, in the end a good wine is always better accompanied by something to eat rather than the other way around
22/11/2024: Convivial and welcoming environment. Excellent wine.

Bosco Officine del Tartufo

16/12/2024: Ristorante super carino. Proprietario molto gentile e cortese.
In ogni caso molto buono.
