I have been frequenting La Panella for some time and I can say with certainty that this small place is a true corner of Sicily in the heart of Rome. Here you can find all the authentic flavor of the Sicilian tradition, starting from the bread and panelle, very difficult to find elsewhere in the city and simply perfect. The arancini, available in different flavours, are tasty and well made, but the real highlight is the Sicilian cannoli: crunchy, rich and with an applause-worthy ricotta cream, probably the best in all of Rome. The atmosphere is always welcoming, thanks to the owners who, with their smile and friendliness, make every customer feel at home. Plus, the prices are more than fair for such high quality.
