We stopped by for dinner and were more than satisfied. We arrived during opening hours, as strongly recommended (they don't take reservations and the place fills up quickly). There was a bit of a line, but they seated us right away and didn't make us wait long for our order. The staff was very kind and friendly. There were two of us, and we ordered xiao long bao to start. The broth was very flavorful, as was everything else, but we were pleasantly surprised by the richness of the broth inside. Next, we ordered miang with minced pork and peanuts, along with biang biang miang with soup and beef. Everything was delicious; there was so much meat in the soup that it melted in your mouth like a stew. The atmosphere and decor are very cute, but the place is small, a bit cramped, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience, which for us, again, was very positive.

A fantastic experience. Finally, an authentic and sophisticated Chinese restaurant, far removed from the usual standards. The service is excellent and the food is truly amazing. A special mention: they're very dog-friendly, too!

Everything was perfect! Excellent food, fast and impeccable service. If you're a group, come all together.

I'm alone and arrive around 9:00 PM knowing I'll have to wait for a table. I arrive by 9:30 PM, but I can't complain about the wait, the quality/price of the food, or even the kindness of the staff, who offered me tea while I waited outside the restaurant. What really ruined the experience, however, was the inattention of all three waiters toward the end of the service. Although they were otherwise friendly and polite, they all calmly sat down TOGETHER across from me and the other tables to eat their dinner. I waited, not wanting to interrupt their break (because it was a sacred moment), with the table still to be cleared, for at least half an hour. This is not something you see in restaurants; I would have even ordered dessert, but I decided that after this inconvenience, I would have gotten up, paid, and left. At the cashier, I was asked if everything was okay, and, not wanting to escalate the situation, I replied that everything was fine and left. Maybe next time, take breaks separately if there are still people to serve... I'm sorry because they're kind and attentive, but this way of stopping service when the restaurant is full when it's half full isn't ideal. As if that were no small feat, I had to endure the entire evening next to two heavy Italian guys who spoke English nonstop at the top of their voices. Well, it can happen...

I'd never eaten Chinese before, but now you'll see me again once a week. This is real Chinese food in Turin. I'm glad I waited until now and that you were my first, and most importantly, not my last, visit!

The bao and dumplings are very good, and the cashier is kind, friendly, and welcoming. The prices are a little high.

Hands down, the best Chinese restaurant I've ever tried. The flavors are authentic and unconventional, and the dumplings melt in your mouth. Best recommended dish: Dan Dan Mian

Two of my friends and I finally tried Lao and were very satisfied :) We tried three main courses and a wok to share, all very good! The two desserts on the menu were also worth trying. I usually don't like places where you can't reserve, but in our case the wait was quite short because we arrived early, about 30 minutes after opening. The service is quick, but the wait time is also quite short because, not taking reservations, they try to hold as many tables as possible. Then, once you're finished, they bring your receipt to your table, as an invitation to leave. A positive experience overall, we'll definitely be back to try other things :)
