Lanterna Verde In Sesto

We stopped in on our way back from a hike, without a reservation, around 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon in January. The staff was incredibly kind, quickly setting up a table for two and sitting us down. Creamed porcini mushrooms for both of us, followed by dessert and coffee. The next day we used their takeout service.

I'll start by saying that this review only concerns the restaurant. We've been visiting the restaurant at least once every year for the past 15 years. It was always very good. This year we went again and were disappointed. The portions were much smaller than in previous years, and the prices were much higher. The quality of the food wasn't worth the price. I don't think we'll be back.

This hotel is great on many levels. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Dolomites coming from Austria. You have good access to the parcs. We found out this location is optimal if you want to plan some hikes. It’s walking distance from the small town center of Sexten if you want to do some groceries. Ample parking space right next to the hotel. The rooms themselves are spacious, cosy Alpine wood style, comfortable, excellent beds, super tidy, good sound insulation, just perfect. The service we had was outstanding from both reception and bar service people. I guess this family business treats her staff very well because they were all super friendly and helpful. We got to meet the lady owner at the reception and she helped us greatly and knows the mountains well. The breakfast was delicious with many fresh local pies and cakes, varied buffet and perfect coffee. The prices are good too. Thank you!

An excellent experience, from the extremely friendly and helpful receptionist to the quality of the rooms, the attention to detail, and the overall facility. The breakfast was also excellent. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

I can only review the restaurant experience; it was incredibly good for us. Whether it was the soup starter, the main course, or the dessert, everything seemed homemade and we enjoyed it immensely. Simply top-notch.
