I think it's the best restaurant in Trecchina! Small but very well-kept, the service impeccable, and the food! Everything was excellent, but the Trecchinesi cingoli with crusco peppers, Podolica ricotta cheese, and bread cubes were spectacular!
The chef, besides being a great professional, is also someone who goes out of his way to help others.
Unique people still exist!

We visited Lanterna Verde in Trecchina and were captivated by every dish, from appetizer to dessert. We enjoyed an excellent mixed antipasto, ravioli with butter and sage, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, and, for the main course, veal stew with potatoes and cruschi peppers. Everything was carefully prepared, using local ingredients and authentic flavors. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff friendly, and the prices were fair (about €20-30 per person). A restaurant that combines tradition and quality: highly recommended! The pizza, which I thought was delicious, was delicious. Next time I visit, I'll try the pizza.

A Trecchina, tra le luci morbide del borgo e l’aria buona della Basilicata, c’è un ristorante che è più di un semplice luogo dove mangiare: è un piccolo teatro del gusto, dove ogni piatto è un racconto, ogni gesto un’attenzione.
Alla Lanterna Verde ti senti subito accolto, coccolato da uno staff sorridente, premuroso e attento a ogni dettaglio. Ma il vero incanto comincia quando arriva lui: lo chef Salvatore. Con la passione negli occhi e la voce calda, arriva tra i tavoli per raccontarti ciò che stai per gustare. Non presenta solo un piatto: ti regala una storia, una favola, fatta di ingredienti locali, stagionalità e amore per la tradizione.
La cucina è un’armonia di sapori autentici, con tocchi creativi mai forzati. Il tutto in un’atmosfera che sa essere elegante ma familiare, semplice ma curata.
Una cena qui non è solo un pasto: è un’esperienza da vivere, da ricordare e da raccontare. Tornerò sicuramente… e consiglio a chiunque passi da queste parti di fare altrettanto.

In Trecchina, amidst the soft lights of the village and the fresh air of Basilicata, there's a restaurant that's more than just a place to eat: it's a small theater of taste, where every dish tells a story, every gesture is thoughtful.
At Lanterna Verde, you immediately feel welcomed, pampered by a smiling, attentive staff, attentive to every detail. But the real magic begins when he arrives: Chef Salvatore. With passion in his eyes and a warm voice, he walks among the tables to tell you what you're about to taste. He doesn't just present a dish: he offers you a story, a fairytale, made of local ingredients, seasonality, and a love of tradition.
The cuisine is a harmony of authentic flavors, with creative touches that are never forced. All in an atmosphere that is elegant yet familiar, simple yet refined.
A dinner here isn't just a meal: it's an experience to be enjoyed, remembered, and talked about. I'll definitely be back... and I recommend anyone passing through to do the same.

Our experience at the "La Lanterna Verde" restaurant in Trecchina was very positive, in keeping with the numerous favorable reviews the restaurant receives on TripAdvisor and Google.
The atmosphere is welcoming and managed with passion, as evidenced by the consistently attentive and friendly service. We chose a selection of dishes that showcase Lucanian cuisine, starting with appetizers such as "polenta with caciocavallo fondue," "Podolica carpaccio, pepe cruschi, and mushrooms," and "roasted caciocavallo with black truffle," moving on to specialties such as "battered cod" and refined paccheri with fish sauce, all the way to the excellent "tagliata ai funghi." The conclusion, with the "Lanterna" pastry shop, was the sweet touch to a truly gastronomic experience.
One aspect that deserves special praise is the presence of chef-owner Salvatore, an impeccable host, whose professionalism and dedication are evident in every bite. The passion, attention to detail, and love for Lucanian tradition are palpable in their culinary offerings, making each dish unique and authentic.
The quality-price ratio is also excellent, with an absolutely fair bill considering the variety and quality of the dishes, as well as the excellent house wine selection.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authenticity, traditional products, and a warm welcome. A must-visit if you want to experience Basilicata at its best.
