L'Ammurrata In Tropea

The location is lovely, offering a beautiful view of the Tropea sea. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man, but unfortunately, the man taking our orders arrived as soon as we were seated, rushing us, making it impossible to choose our dishes. He was also quite annoyed. Despite everything, we ate reasonably well, except for the first course, which, strangely, arrived less than five minutes later, so we assumed it was already ready. The tuna steak with onion was good, but I would pay more attention to the plating.

A gem by the sea 🌊🍝 I went to L’Ammurrata for lunch twice, and the experience was spectacular. The food is incredible; everything we tried was delicious and super generous. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact names of the dishes, but everything was amazing. The staff deserves a special mention: we were served by a very friendly and welcoming gentleman. When he realized we spoke Spanish, he called over a girl who also spoke the language, and she was lovely. We asked for recommendations, and she suggested we try the typical Tropea fileja noodles with red onion (also typical of the area) and black olives… A total success! Plus, the view is spectacular, right on the beach. Since I was renting an umbrella nearby, it was perfect. I'm so glad I found this place. I recommend it without hesitation.

We've had lunch here twice. The view is obviously fantastic, and the prices are average. The staff's attitude could be improved; they're not very friendly, but they always respond with inappropriate jokes or at least counter any request. As for the food, the fried fish and seafood salad are excellent, and the first courses have very flavorful sauces that are a bit overcooked. Good work.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante in quanto avevamo prenotato ombrellone e lettini al lido San Leonardo sottostante. Ristorante veramente ottimo con materie di prima qualità e fresche e piatti preparati al momento. Consiglio l'impepata di cozze e l'insalata di mare e le verdure grigliate.

Relaxed atmosphere, well-kept location and dishes that enhance Calabrian cuisine in an elegant and genuine way. In the photo, the grilled squid: tender, tasty and cooked to perfection. The service was kind and attentive, without excess. A pleasant and successful lunch, ideal for those who want to enjoy good food with a view that is worth the visit alone. Recommended!

Fantastic place with sea view. Well located restaurant with a position that everyone would envy. We ate the filejia alla tropeana, truly delicious! In addition, the seafood salad was truly excellent!! A round of applause to the guys in the dining room and the maitre, kind and very helpful! Highly recommended!
