Ho mangiato un pranzo a base di pesce alcuni giorni fa. Il ristorante in Policoro offre un ottimo servizio, i piatti sono appetitosi e sono anche attenti alle intolleranze. Consigliatissimo !

Con mia moglie ,spinti dalle recensioni positive ,ci rechiamo a pranzo : locale essenziale che non ha della bellezza il suo punto di forza ,che invece risiede alle spalle ,in cucina.
Piatti non banali che strizzano un occhio alla tradizione culinaria locale ,ma eseguiti con accuratezza ,passione e maestria.
Gradita la zeppolina di benvenuto ,buono il peperone ammollicato ,ottimo lo sformatino di verdurine locali.
I due primi piatti entrambi notevoli : cavatelli con talli e cozze ,una minestra dal sapore antico : chi oggi arrischia i talli in cucina ? O meglio chi li conosce e li sceglie tra gli avventori ? Lo chef sa il fatto suo ,ha esperienza e polso fermo ,li propone e sono ottimi oltre che difficilmente rinvenibili altrove .
L'altro primo piatto : sfrizzuli ( pasta locale fatta a mano ) con alici ,peperoni cruschi e spolverata di quel pane conciato che è tipico della zona : equilibrato ,sfizioso,gustoso.
Vino della casa ,appena passabile in verità.
Non prendiamo altro per non sentirci in colpa più tardi a mare .....forse sbagliando .....ma forse torniamo.... certamente un gran bel ricordo di questa gita a Policoro.

The place is very basic but clean. The menu written on a blackboard hanging on the wall is characteristic.
As soon as we were at the table (my husband and I) we were offered some fried bread donuts. Hot and very good.
We ordered an appetizer of stewed cuttlefish with courgette plants, courgette flowers stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, seafood salad.
The first courses were orecchiette with monkfish and taralli crumble, calamarata with calamari, tuna and I don't know what else. The first courses were so abundant that the owner divided them for us to taste both.
For the second course, a very good fried calamari, prawns and anchovies.
1 dessert (because I don't eat desserts) half of house wine, 1 water.
All €68.
I recommend booking because the place is small, but you don't get crowded

Review for Trattoria da Ciccio
During a business trip, I had the misfortune of getting a flat tire on my car.
Fortunately, the ACI rescue team came to pick me up and, since it was lunch time, accompanied me to Trattoria da Ciccio.
I didn't know what to expect, but I was happily surprised by the quality of the dishes served. The ingredients were genuine and fresh, and the traditional recipes made lunch a memorable experience.
The service was equally welcoming, creating a warm, homely atmosphere.
During my next trip, I will definitely return to Trattoria da Ciccio, tires permitting.
A true culinary experience worth a visit!

Anyone who gave less than 4 stars is in bad faith. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and friendly and the price exceeded expectations. The environment is rustic but you have the impression of being at home. Nothing to say. Optimal
