Elisabetta's cuisine is exquisite, refined and genuine. La Volta Antica, family-run, is a place enclosed in a small yet welcoming environment in typical mountain style. On cold winter days a wood-burning fireplace helps to liven up the room. Themed evenings are often proposed according to the food characteristics of the current season. Arrive in the main square of Mezzenile, get out of the car, take three steps and you will be greeted with courtesy and quality. From savory to sweet, the journey will certainly be pleasant, accompanied by good wine. Absolutely fair prices.

Abbiamo fatto qui il pranzo della befana e siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti e colpiti dal menù proposto, con piatti cucinato benissimo e davvero deliziosi, non banali, porzioni che ti consentono di assaggiare tutto e uscire ben soddisfatto. La cucina è davvero particolare, l' insalata russa con branzino e maionese al lime perfetta, la purea di lenticchie nella sua semplicità era fatta molto bene, vellutata, gustosa, piena di aromi. La carne buonissima, il dolce una torta ma leggera, cremosa, una delizia. Avevamo già provato il fritto misto, uno dei migliori degli ultimi anni, questo pranzo ha confermato che la qualità della cucina è molto alta. Il servizio gentile e cordiale e alla fine la cuoca è passata a salutare, è stato bello, torneremo di certo. Il prezzo assolutamente onestissimo!

We tried the mixed fry and I have to say that for me it was the best I've eaten in recent years. For example, the semolina is soft and aromatic, the fried zabaglione is a fantastic cream, the Pavesini are particular because they are made with raspberries. And the savory one too, excellent. Price more than fair also considering the drinks so a truly excellent experience. Furthermore, there are only twenty seats so they don't bring trays full of stuff that is cold in an instant but they serve the courses individually and also come for an encore, so everything is hot and fragrant. Well done
