Elisabetta's cuisine is exquisite, refined and genuine. La Volta Antica, family-run, is a place enclosed in a small yet welcoming environment in typical mountain style. On cold winter days a wood-burning fireplace helps to liven up the room. Themed evenings are often proposed according to the food characteristics of the current season. Arrive in the main square of Mezzenile, get out of the car, take three steps and you will be greeted with courtesy and quality. From savory to sweet, the journey will certainly be pleasant, accompanied by good wine. Absolutely fair prices.

We tried the mixed fry and I have to say that for me it was the best I've eaten in recent years. For example, the semolina is soft and aromatic, the fried zabaglione is a fantastic cream, the Pavesini are particular because they are made with raspberries. And the savory one too, excellent. Price more than fair also considering the drinks so a truly excellent experience. Furthermore, there are only twenty seats so they don't bring trays full of stuff that is cold in an instant but they serve the courses individually and also come for an encore, so everything is hot and fragrant. You have to book but when you sit at the table you are sure to eat well. Excellent Piedmontese mixed fried food. Fried and served piece by piece hot and never greasy. About 20 different pieces with various meats, frogs, vegetables and mouth-watering desserts. The service was also excellent, attentive and kind. Wines worthy of the situation. For what you ate and drank the price was more than correct. To be recommended.

Ambiente con pochi posti..20.. gestione familiare...la cuoca prepara nel nostro caso, un fritto misto molto digeribile nonostante sia cena, perché cotto al momento e lo trovi asciutto nel piatto. 19 portate equilibrate tra salato e dolce con un finale (cioccolatini impanato e fritto) da provare!! Ci ritorneremo di sicuro per assaggiare il bollito...
