I went for a business dinner featuring typical Roman dishes accompanied by excellent wines.
A decidedly positive experience, highly recommended.

Typically Roman; I could call it a "splendid fraschetta," but absolutely chic and upscale.
The space is huge and beautifully decorated; it exudes a sense of Roman style and cheerfulness.
Excellent quality food; the Roman-style artichokes are magnificent, the Jewish-style artichokes are excellent; the grandmother's meatballs, the gricia, and the amatriciana are excellent, served in enormous "boxes" that are big enough for two.
The tiramisu served in coffee makers is also excellent.
Very kind, friendly, and fast service.
Well done!
Highly recommended
This place is a 10 like me and it happened to me

I want to give special praise to the woman who served us: a rare professional performance. She managed the entire order, remembering everything flawlessly, without a hint of hesitation. What struck us most, however, was her self-control: a calmness and precision never seen before, even at peak times.
An institution of authenticity and flavor
If you're looking for the beating heart of Roman cuisine, far from the tourist traps and immersed in an atmosphere steeped in history, Ristorante La Villetta dal 1940 is a must-see.
Tradition on the Plate: Their Carbonara is simply masterful: creamy, with just the right amount of crispy guanciale and the perfect balance of pecorino. The abbacchio and artichokes alla giudia are equally as impressive, seeming to have come straight from the kitchen of a particularly talented Roman grandmother.
Dining here is like stepping back in time. The walls tell the story of decades of history, and the service is as it once was: attentive, genuine, and never pretentious. The passion of a family-run business that has preserved the restaurant's identity since 1940 is clearly evident.
The quality of the ingredients is unquestionable. From the freshness of the pasta to the excellence of the meats, every bite confirms that here, no compromises are made.

This Roman restaurant is definitely worth a try. The traditional appetizers are superb and prepared with great care. But don't overdo it if you're craving a first course, as the portion is 250 grams of pasta, served in a "cofana" (a bowl), so one plate isn't enough. The first courses are also fantastic, and the meat-based second courses are excellent. Excellent wine selection. The service is fast and the staff very welcoming. Given the quality, the prices aren't cheap.

I had lunch at this beautiful restaurant... I was alone and ordered meatballs carbonara as an appetizer... delicious and generously topped with carbocrema. Followed by a huge plate of amatriciana... it was out of this world. The prices are slightly higher than average, but the portions are also very, very generous... to be honest, after meatballs and amatriciana, I didn't have dinner that evening.
The menu features a myriad of traditional dishes.
In short, highly recommended.

Everything was lovely, the food was good, and the location was beautiful. It's a pleasure to be in places like this. I'm giving it four stars only because of the nauseating stench coming from the toilet, which somewhat dampened the experience. Otherwise, the staff was friendly but not overly attentive with the service.
