Old World palace feel but the rooms have up to date amenities for USB and C charging. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Amazing location right on the beautiful Wharf with a view of Capri. Beautiful roof top bar. Only criticism is you have to ask if you want a coffee maker in the room. It's a five star luxury hotel, I shouldn't have to ask.

A magnificent hotel ideally located in Naples, with exceptional views and an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. The service is simply outstanding, with special mention going to the luggage service team, whose professionalism and efficiency are truly exceptional. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and impeccably maintained, making for a particularly pleasant stay. The swimming pool is also a real highlight: lovely, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A truly wonderful place that I recommend without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Vesuvio. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The location is fantastic — perfectly placed for exploring, with stunning views that really make you stop and take it all in. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with all the amenities we needed. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a great variety of fresh options to start the day. What really stood out was the staff — friendly, helpful, and great attention to detail. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

My son and I spent a week in this wonderful, charming hotel. We had two rooms with a connecting door. Although the furnishings are a bit dated, they were absolutely spotless and well-maintained. The generously stocked minibar and the large flat-screen TVs pale into insignificance when you consider the stunning view of the harbour and Castel dell’Ovo. We were particularly struck by the warmth of the extremely attentive staff. You can sense that they are all proud to be part of this hotel’s history. The location couldn’t be better – front row seats, so to speak. Having breakfast with such a view is uncomparable. We will be returning to Naples and are already looking forward to Vesuvio.

I don't know why Google removed my previous review: perhaps it was so positive it seemed suspicious, but the truth is, it wasn't bought at all. It was sincere. We live in an age where everyone improvises "luxury," imitates it, flaunts it. But true luxury doesn't shout; it's recognizable. And at Vesuvio, I found it again. Even though I've never slept there, I've used their services, the bar, and especially the restaurant, several times over the years. Each time, I've found the same thing: a quality that can't be improvised. Here, luxury is made of genuine politeness, of kindness that's never contrived, of a service born from a long history, from a true tradition, one that almost no one possesses anymore. The location is excellent, but what really makes the difference are the people, and the impeccable way they welcome you. A place for good people, where you truly feel good. And this, for me, is the greatest luxury.

A fantastic location and a lovely terrace.

The Gran Vesuvio is a type of hotel that is very difficult to find in a European city these days. The facilities are extraordinary and the service is impeccable in every respect.

I stayed in this hotel, in a suite with a private terrace, twenty-eight years ago... I still have wonderful memories!
