La Vecchia Pineta In

We celebrated at this wonderful place last night! The food was excellent as always, with top-quality ingredients and friendly, genuine service. We stopped to chat with the owner because of the long line at the register. I thank him publicly for making us feel at home! I also thank him for the wonderful dessert samples that were offered to us to apologize for the wait! A homemade nougat that honestly left me speechless! But beyond the deliciousness of the food, despite the successes and the years that have passed, the attention and care for the customer has remained, which in my opinion deserves to be highlighted with a big round of applause! At Vecchia Pineta, every detail reminds you why the sea can be a privilege. The location is simply marvelous: boundless views, light caressing the tables, and a calm atmosphere that makes you feel like you're somewhere else even though you're still in Ostia. The service is impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, with a genuine care that is increasingly rare these days. And the food... truly superb, and it shows. Perfect pasta, full flavors, fresh ingredients, and dishes that exude tradition but with a touch of elegance that makes them unforgettable. A place you return to because it makes you feel good. And where, time after time, you rediscover the pleasure of cuisine made just right. La Vecchia Pineta is an absolute must in Ostia.

Excellent restaurant, the best in Ostia with a sea view. The fried appetizer is amazing, and the spaghetti with clams is top-notch.

Stunning location and great food.

There was a strong wind when we visited, but the beach terrace and the food made up for it all!

A very pleasant seaside restaurant where you can hear the sound of the waves while enjoying delicious fettuccine nere al vongole and fiori di zuccha or spaghetti al vongole. The various breads are very good. The spritz was decent. However, the prices are exorbitant; €24/€22 per dish is too expensive, even if it was very good. Not all the clams were full, so it was expensive for pasta!

I'm sad to read so many negative reviews. We celebrated my brother's graduation and everything was perfect: elegant venue, excellent food, and attentive service. The atmosphere is unique; it feels like being on a ship overlooking the sea. I'll definitely be back, perhaps in the summer for another special occasion.
