A restaurant specializing in grilled meat in Sirmione, near the SS11 highway in a lovely area with several restaurants, bars, and other businesses. Intrigued by their offerings, I ordered the donkey tartare. I'd never tried it before; the flavor is very similar to horsemeat tartare. Next, we ordered a Tomahawk steak from France. The meat was tender and juicy, and it was delicious. There's a wide selection of desserts. The staff is knowledgeable and explains the various cuts of meat, their aging process, and their origins. The service is fast and courteous. The only downsides I found are: 1) high prices for some dishes; for example, I think €7 for a few baked potatoes as a side is too high; 2) some corners of the restaurant are too cluttered and used to store wine cartons; they should be grouped together elsewhere to keep everything organized and not take up space. Otherwise, everything is fine.

A family dinner at Trattoria La Vecchia Griglia, and the immediate impression was of a place that combines rustic warmth with modern sophistication. The wood-burning fireplace with exposed embers lends character and authenticity, while the elegant atmosphere, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, sets it apart from a simple, informal trattoria.
Honorable mention goes to the masterfully executed Wagyu steak: perfectly cooked, marbling that melts in the mouth, and a balance of flavors that lingers. The other cuts are also excellent, always enhanced by careful cooking and respect for the raw ingredients.
The wine selection is impressive: obsessively researched, extensive, and well-presented, capable of satisfying both those seeking a classic pairing and those who enjoy discovering lesser-known labels.
The service was impeccable, with friendly and knowledgeable staff, attentive without being intrusive. The overall experience was that of a high-end dinner, where nothing is left to chance: quality, care, and hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
I recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic yet refined gastronomic experience on Lake Garda, in a familiar yet special atmosphere.

Everything was excellent, the service was very professional and courteous. Especially the staff and the gentleman in the dining room. Special mention goes to Edi, who accompanied us throughout the entire dinner and gave our evening a full 5-star rating for the overall experience. Truly a gem, I hope it stays that way in the future!

Abbiamo fatto veramente un'esperienza culinaria senza precedenti. Materia prima di ottima qualità cucinata in maniera impeccabile. La migliore carne arrosto che io abbia mai mangiato. Con semplicità ma con un gusto e una morbidezza che solo una lunga e ricercata esperienza nella.cottura alla brace possono dare. Location curata, molto bella, personale gentilissimo ed attento al cliente. Consiglio assolutamente. Prezzi medi alti in linea con la qualità del cibo offerto. Complimenti al ristoratore e a tutto lo staff.
Frequento questo ristorante da anni e posso dire con certezza che è uno di quei posti rari dove la qualità resta sempre altissima. La carne alla griglia è una vera specialità: tenera, saporita e cotta alla perfezione. Tra i piatti più sorprendenti consiglio vivamente la tartare di asino, delicata e ben condita, e la carne di bufalo, una scelta originale e gustosa.
Anche i primi meritano una menzione speciale: ricette della tradizione rivisitate con creatività e grande equilibrio. Ogni piatto è curato nei minimi dettagli, sia nel gusto che nella presentazione.
L’ambiente è accogliente e rilassato, con uno staff sempre cordiale, sorridente e davvero appassionato del proprio lavoro. Ottima anche la selezione di vini, con etichette interessanti e abbinamenti ben consigliati.
Una vera eccellenza del territorio, dove tornare è sempre un piacere.
