La Vecchia Cantina di Albusciago In Sumirago

Dopo un attimo di indecisione sui piatti disponibili, tutto si è risolto nel miglior modo. Ottimo il pesce e anche la carne. PS.. La ristrutturazione del locale è stata fatta bene ( risulta piacevole).

Always nice to have lunch where they welcome you as a friend, sit down and enjoy excellent food, from appetizers to desserts, from first courses to some nice mixed fried food. Friendly and helpful staff. Must try.

Excellent discovery, good food, plentiful and without spending a fortune

This is a relatively recently opened venue, located where the old town club once stood, close to the equally old cooperative. Don't expect anything like that today. The new restaurant, structured in an inverted "L" shape, is very large and consists of two large rooms which include both the old club and the adjacent cooperative. Upon entering, in the first part of the restaurant, there are tables for four people. The part at the back of the restaurant - if requested - is allocated to important tables, made up of groups of people. The environment, in addition to having been totally renovated, is warm, pleasant to the eye, well maintained and well managed. The menu, whether meat or fish, is very appetizing and the quality of the products used is remarkable. Upon request we can have variations that do not include fish or meat. The first courses are served very hot in large aluminum pans, so as to keep the heat intact: this is a particular detail worthy of a positive note. The dishes are exquisite and decidedly plentiful, suitable for "foodies". The seasonings of the first courses are rich and substantial, yet never excessive, nor heavy to digest. The latter, like the former, are of excellent quality and always plentiful. The staff is quick and kind; the owner, a red-haired boy, is affable, friendly and at the same time very professional. It is a place that I would recommend to anyone who wants to eat tasty and generous dishes whilst happily enjoying company.

Excellent place and the food is really good

We came across it almost by chance, welcoming place and pleasant dinner. I noticed that many reviews describe the dishes and the location, I would like to focus on the staff. We were served by Alex, an attentive, thoughtful and approachable boy. It seemed like he was the manager of the winery, he took care of our dinner down to the smallest detail. It is difficult to find such friendly and polite staff. Thanks Alex, we will definitely come back to taste the rest of the dishes on the menu, but above all for your welcome!

Found by chance on Google Maps. Very nice and welcoming place, kind and competent staff, accurate and fast service, we didn't try the pizza but the food was excellent and the dishes that passed by were very inviting. Highly recommended 😉
