A beautiful restaurant! I went for lunch and had the Pumpkin Cream Soup with Mushrooms and Chestnuts and the Ziti with Genoese Ragù (made with onions stewed for 80 hours). Everything was delicious and beautifully served. The onions didn't return much! I'll definitely be back!

When I think of Neapolitan cuisine, my palate lights up with intense memories and aromas: grandma's slow-cooked ragù, steaming eggplant parmigiana, octopus alla luciana with the aroma of the sea and history. And one of the places where this tradition comes to life for me is Biancomangiare, in the historic heart of Naples.
Entering Biancomangiare makes me feel right at home: the warm, slightly rustic, welcoming atmosphere reminds me of Sunday family lunches. Here, traditional Neapolitan cuisine is presented with passion and respect for authentic ingredients and flavors.
When I choose a dish, I immediately think of dishes that tell stories: the Genovese with its stewed onions and tender, melting meat, the thick and fragrant ragù like my mother's, or the crispy fried cod that makes you close your eyes with pleasure.
I sit at my table, look at the menu, and think about how this cuisine is made of slow gestures and profound flavors: it's a cuisine that doesn't rush, it's made to be enjoyed, dish after dish, sip after sip.
Finally, I can't help but think about traditional desserts—and even though I know that the best-known "biancomangiare" is the sweet one, with milk and delicate aromas, a classic Sicilian dessert, here the name of the restaurant makes me smile and remember how much food is memory and culture.
🥂 So, every time I'm in Naples, returning to Biancomangiare is a way to rediscover the true soul of Neapolitan cuisine: simple, sincere, full of character and heart.

A strong 4 or a weak 5. The decor, like the entire place, is elegant. The food is good, although my tuna was so-so, but that was due to my lack of experience (the fish is almost raw in the middle, like a steak). The waitstaff standing over the table spoils the overall experience somewhat.

We ate at Biancomangiare – Cucina tipica napoletana and felt right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, just as you'd expect from a true Neapolitan trattoria.
The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, traditional, and bursting with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their cooking. We were especially impressed by the classic Neapolitan dishes.
The service was friendly, attentive, and warm; we felt welcome the entire time.
Our conclusion: An honest, lovely place for anyone who loves Neapolitan cuisine. Definitely a place we'll be returning to. 🇮🇹
