On Easter Sunday we chose this place and immediately found a warm and kind welcome. Even though it was packed with guests, the service was quick and impeccable. The dishes, with attention to detail in both taste and presentation, were able to offer a truly special culinary experience. After lunch, we pleasantly spent time outdoors, where the scent of white wisteria captivated us and some tables surrounded by greenery offered us a perfect corner of tranquility to extend our day in harmony with nature. A place that combines quality and beauty, leaving the memory of a memorable day.

So tasty dishes but the thing I didn't like was the service because they made me wait 30 minutes for a plate of pasta with tomato sauce. I liked the location a lot

Congratulations to Nino and Emidio Calioʻ for the welcome, professionalism, courtesy and above all the GOODNESS of the dishes served, from the appetizer to the first courses, the second courses and last but not least the desserts served, you are an excellence in Sicilian catering, I recommend to everyone the Tagliatelle with Porcini Mushrooms🤪 and the Shank😋 as well as all the specialties of the Restaurant Old Barrel 🇮🇹🧡🇮🇹

03/06/2025: This is an amazing steak restaurant! Found it by chance and went with friends. So good I went back the next night and found other friends to whom I’d recommended it were also there. Ageing meats are on display in cabinets around the dining area, so not a place for vegetarians. Lots of nice little touches like amuse bouches of arancini and a variety of salts and sauces with every dish. Staff speak enough English to get by but you can scan a QR code to get the menu in a variety of languages. Extensive wine list, including local Sicilian

08/06/2025: During our vacation in Nicolosi, we ate there several times. It's very easy to reach on foot, we always got a free table (8 p.m., after 9 p.m. it became difficult to get a seat), and the value for money is unbeatable! We tried various dishes, whether pizza, pasta, or meat, and everything was always delicious, and we were completely full.
25/05/2025: I've been going to Salvo and Jenny Chisari's Macumba for years, always everything is plentiful and good, in the evening pizza 🍕 from number one, one of the last remaining in Catania and the province who know what a good pizza is 💪💪😋😋
