Domenico and his son Riccardo are welcoming. They have a small workshop making cured meats and marmalades. Delicious oranges are available for picking from the trees. A stroll through their property reveals their vineyard, orange, lemon, bergamot, and olive trees. Things are a bit chaotic around the buildings during this off-season (March). Domenico cooked for us. The magnificent Gerace Cathedral and the ruins of its Norman castle are 20 minutes away. The Aspromonte Natural Park is accessible by car just outside Gerace.
