Pleasant Sunday spent with the family celebrating a birthday. Having parked the car nearby (numerous car parks, almost all full), after a short walk we reach the restaurant in the center of the town. The impact with the place is reminiscent of the 1960s... Single room, seats crammed into every space, annoying buzz, confusion, takeaway customers coming and going, fairly clogged traffic of waiters. But it's Sunday and it's 1pm. Once the first impact has passed and the children and adults have settled at the table, without a long wait, they begin to serve us. The courses follow one another at a good pace, without annoying waits. Very kind waiters. Impeccable service, well organised, adequate staff. Excellent, genuine food. Rich appetizers, from the Piedmontese tradition, repeated several times, good and tasty. Satisfying first courses, excellently made, also appreciated by small children, always traditional (meat agnolotti, artisanal, crepes, various types of pasta, vegetable puree) all excellent. A second course of meat with fried potatoes and for all the other diners Piedmontese mixed fried food, salty and sweet, very good, but without the breaded brains. Rich choice of desserts, all excellent. Coffee and liqueur to finish. Bubbles one liter. and dessert 1/2 lt.
Income statement (€270 for 9 people) with delivery of dog boxes with leftover mixed fried food. Not a luxury restaurant, but courtesy, hospitality, kindness, thoughtfulness, honesty and genuineness.
Overall, I would say, very satisfied, beyond my expectations….

Ci piace tornare in questa trattoria semplice ma dove si mangia davvero bene.
Dalla Valle d'Aosta se andiamo in Piemonte ci fermiamo volentieri. Assolutamente ottimo antipasto misto...cambierei solo lingua...la farei verde con bagnet...invece che rossa. Buono il secondo ed ottimo il tiramisù.
Il vino della casa buono.
Ed il conto super onesto.

A convivial family-run trattoria... very rustic Piedmontese style atmosphere, simple but welcoming and attentive service... we had lunch with two appetizers (bagna causa peppers and raw meat) and a very good Piedmontese fried dish for two (I would have preferred more savory part meat etc..) I recommend for a quiet lunch

Very quick even with a packed room. As they once said, "hands-on" in the sense of genuine, simple. Doses (ahem) less politically friendly than usual let's say that you don't wake up hungry. The only flaw is that there is no parking right outside the door, but the walk is well worth it!

Si mangia tipico, bene e si beve altrettanto bene. Location spartana ma non troppo. Molto carina e molto accogliente in inverno. Servizio ok. Complimenti
