Osteria La Trappola, in the sense that you risk being trapped there forever because of how good it is! As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by the warm interiors that feel just like home. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to sit near the fireplace, because even though it had been hot since the early afternoon, the heating was so gentle that it didn't cause any discomfort; on the contrary, it made the rustic and familiar atmosphere of the place even more intimate. What can I say about lunch, except that I experienced it as an additional pampering in that serene atmosphere, together with the well-selected jazz music? The mixed cold cuts appetizer does not suffer from the lack of fried gnocco, completely filled with both fresh bread and focaccia. About these I have only one negative note to make: since there are four and they are quite small, in my humble opinion charging €4 is a bit excessive. But apart from that, everything went smoothly. Even the pasta was stellar: al dente as it should be and with divine toppings. When it came to dessert, I was particularly curious to discover the house desserts, and I wasn't disappointed at all: the zuppa inglese was practically identical to my mother's, further demonstrating that eating here was like eating in your own family nest; the sbrisolona was also excellent, along with the very large bowl of zabaglione. If it hadn't been for the large quantity of this cream, however, I would have turned up my nose when I discovered that, on the menu, the cake and zabaglione were separate. It's the first time I've had to pay for them separately in the Piacenza area, and I personally don't see any logical sense in it, but it was all so good that it made me completely forget about this little controversy that arose and ended spontaneously. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our table, another detail that I appreciated. In short, between the walls decorated with beautiful paintings and period furniture, together with the excellent culinary experience, I really can't help but give the highest rating to this osteria in the heart of Piacenza. Thank you for this super experience.

I had seen the excellent reviews of this restaurant online and I wanted to check it out in person by booking for a Sunday lunch. Very nice and intimate place with very kind and welcoming staff, excellent dishes and a good compromise between quality and price. The good reviews they have are all deserved!!!

We came across this location by chance, as soon as we entered we were struck by the beauty of the location.
The girl who served us was very kind and helped/advised us in choosing the best dishes.
What we ate (cured meats, first courses and cabbage rolls) was really good!
Note of honor for the giardiniera and the cabbage rolls (not on the menu) which truly amazed us.
Excellent quality/price! We will recommend it to our friends who pass through Piacenza

i was recommended this place from a friend, and it did not disappoint. i came for lunch on a quiet thursday, and the atmosphere was nothing short of charming, it was like stepping into a cozy countryside home, complete with a fireplace and thoughtful decor. the service was impeccable, the server was not only warm and welcoming but also brought us some incredible bread and lard to start.
we began with a selection of cold cuts, all top quality, which paired beautifully with the warm, fluffy focaccia. choosing a first course was nearly impossible because everything sounded fantastic, but i finally settled on the tagliatelle with gorgonzola and radicchio. it was so tasty, the pasta cooked just right and the sauce irresistibly creamy and flavorful. my grandpa went for the pisarei e fasò and was thoroughly impressed. he then ordered the liver with onions (which, of course, i had to steal a few bites of) tender, rich, and packed with flavor. i wasn’t hungry enough for a second so i just got some peperonata, also very good and saucy.
dessert was just as impressive. everything tasted incredibly fresh, but the zabaione was the best thing. silky, indulgent, and exactly the kind of sweet ending you want to a meal like this.
to recap: fantastic food, a homey vibe, and service that makes you feel like family. highly recommend!

Small gem in the center of Piacenza. Very friendly staff and a warm and welcoming environment. Local dishes from Piacenza but also some novelties. The hot focaccias are delicious to take as an appetizer together with the typical salami. The gorgonzola and radicchio tagliatelle are very delicate and you would eat them in plates! Extra point for the coffee cheesecake, delicious!
