Let me start by saying that I will have to come and visit you for the cooking and to meet the owner! That said, what follows is an answer I gave on Trip, but rejected. Having said this, please forgive me users of Tripadvisor and Google, but we restaurateurs cannot remain indifferent to those who denigrate without any reason (or in some cases the reason is even subtle) invalidating the general evaluation without any reason other than frustration or malice ! Sic stantibus rebus I felt compelled to review this business and I confess (at least a little sincerity) without any gastronomic reason other than the miserable solidarity of those like us who live with their own work and give work to other families. Personally I don't know how you work, but the response given to the last review makes me imagine the passion for local products and tradition, and not the premeditation of wanting to cheat the customer or those who are incapable! In the political economic context in which we find ourselves, oppressed by taxes, oppressed by some pretentious and unprofessional collaborators insulted by some (fortunately few) customers, frustrated and ignorant. Characteristic restaurant located at the foot of the Verres castle. While passing through to visit the fortification we only used the services of the bar. Friendly and hardworking staff. Free parking a few meters from the structure.

Ristorante ai piedi del castello di Verrès. Ottima la posizione. Personale attento e rapido. Buoni i piatti locali, con materia prima fresca del territorio. Ottimo il nebbiolo locale, consigliato per accompagnare il tagliere e la polenta con spezzatino.

They do not accept dogs. The restaurant further up the street accepts them, okay.

Right below the Verrès Castle, quiet and hospitable, good food (we ate two soups) with the right portions! Just one small note: in the soup with cabbage and fontina there was some meat not mentioned in the menu. Nothing unsolvable but I had to exchange the dish with my wife being a vegetarian. I would have preferred to know before but again, nothing unsolvable!
