I was recently at La Tortuga in Baia and I have to say it was a great discovery! The place has a really nice, welcoming atmosphere with attention to detail — perfect for a dinner with friends or for a more special occasion.
The staff was exceptional: kind, fast and always smiling. They make you feel at ease right away, without ever being intrusive.
The food is excellent, with decidedly generous portions that satisfy both the sight and the palate. The prices are also very competitive, especially considering the quality of the dishes and the service received.
La Tortuga is a restaurant where I will gladly return and that I highly recommend to anyone who is in the area. Well done!

Here we are. Walking through the heart of Acerra, a few steps from Corso Italia, you can't help but be tempted by the irresistible aroma coming from via De Penido 1. It is there, right in front of the main restaurant currently being renovated, that Lecca Lecca, the historic croissant shop, pastry shop, ice cream shop and creperie, continues to serve its most loyal customers directly from the laboratory. A temporary solution, yes, but one that has not in the least affected either the quality or the enthusiasm that have always characterized this true institution of taste. Gennaro, the owner, and Gerardo, his irreplaceable right-hand man, represent a fixed point for those in Acerra and the surrounding area who are looking for not just a croissant, but the croissant that you remember, that you dream of, that you talk about. Their Eschitano croissant is truly something that leaves its mark: soft, generous, fragrant, with a pastry that envelops and cuddles at the first bite. Personally, I can't resist the classic cream and black cherry flavor, but I confess that I also willingly give in to the dark chocolate and black cherry, or the combination of cream and dark chocolate. The variety is remarkable and ranges from fillings such as salted caramel, artisanal milk cream, and a selection of delicious jams and creams made strictly in-house. But Lecca Lecca is not just croissants. The graffe are another highlight: tall, soft, warm, fragrant, and almost always served freshly. Here you won't find desserts piled up for hours: they are prepared little by little, based on the arrival of customers. And this is a winning choice, because biting into a freshly fried graffa is an experience you won't forget. The same goes for the bonbons, delicious balls of graffa dough fried on the spot, true explosions of pleasure. And what about the croissants with puff pastry, crumbly and full, or Gennaro's babà, which is a hymn to Neapolitan tradition, with that perfect syrup, never excessive, and a consistency that melts in the mouth. The desserts that I personally love the most are the babà cake, the tart with cream and wild strawberries and the lobster tails: crunchy puff pastry, fresh fillings, balance of flavors. Every bite is a dive into signature pastry making. And then there's the human aspect, the one that makes you come back. Gennaro and Gerardo are always smiling, welcoming, ready for a joke, and every visit almost always ends with a laugh. There is a familiarity that makes the place even more special. Now we are eagerly awaiting the reopening of the place on Corso Italia, where there will be seats to consume all these delights more comfortably. The renovation is underway, and from what we can see, the new environment will be elegant, modern and with attention to detail. A place that will further enhance the gastronomic experience that Gennaro has built with passion, day after day. In a world where we often chase novelty at all costs, Lecca Lecca remains an oasis of authenticity, quality and human warmth. If you pass through Acerra, even just for one evening, do yourself a favor: stop here, and let yourself be won over. You will return. And you will tell about it.
