Couldn’t have loved this place more. Old school in the best possible way with very kind, helpful staff. Fantastic fish dishes and the rolling cart of appetizers and side dishes had amazing options. Definitely going back!

The cuisine is the strong point of this historic restaurant in Testaccio, without a doubt. Especially for fish dishes it is a certainty. The last time we were, unfortunately, we found the toilets - we were the first diners present, so it wasn't a question of logistics but of inattention - dirty which resulted in an avoidable sour note (the toilets could do with a beautiful renovation) as part of such a pleasant evening.

Lunch with colleagues in this simple and typical restaurant in the heart of Testaccio. Very varied menu, friendly staff and fast service. Average price for the quality of the food and the abundance of the dishes. The only flaw is the smell of fried food in the room and on your clothes

Cannot say enough about how delicious the food is and how attentive the staff are! Absolutely an institution in Testaccio. The seafood is fresh, the fried olives are divine and the pasta is truly incredible. A must visit for locals and those wandering through Rome. Grazie!

02/03/2025: I think it's because of the top postings on Naver blog, there were a lot of Koreans. The pasta was really delicious. The other menus were also delicious overall. But there were so many people that I saw some people going back because they had to wait.
01/03/2025: After the southern tour, I visited at the guide's recommendation, and it was a very satisfying meal!👍 It was recommended that all foods with truffles are delicious, so I ordered truffle pasta and steak, and they were really delicious!! The guide said that the food at good restaurants isn't too salty... but I guess all the restaurants I've visited so far haven't been good...! Cecio's food was so well seasoned and delicious that I made a reservation for lunch the very next day!👍👍 And the owner is so kind too! Ciao bello!😄

OSTERIA DEL GALLO

20/02/2025: Very enjoyable place near piazza Navona with a real authentic Roman waiter who has been a great entertainment last night. Andrea was really friendly, very service oriented, flexible, fun and entertaining. Food was nice but I would go back to the Osteria del Gallo more for the cosy street and nice indoor atmosphere, and for having another chance to interact with Andrea.
