We had lunch at La Torre di Pretoro and it was truly an excellent experience. The restaurant is set in a charming setting, with splendid brick vaults and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes the meal even more enjoyable. An authentic place where you can experience the full essence of Abruzzo tradition. There were five of us, and we were all very satisfied. Among the appetizers, the cacio e ovo (cheese and egg) balls stood out, truly extraordinary: soft, flavorful, and immersed in a rich, flavorful sauce that perfectly enhances the flavor of the cheese. One of the most delicious traditional Abruzzo dishes. I chose the gnocchi alla ventricina, simply exceptional: soft and well-made gnocchi, with a flavorful sauce that adds character and an intense, typical local flavor. The nettle ravioli were also very special, appreciated for their delicate flavor and the authentic flavor of the fresh pasta. The service was kind and attentive, and the restaurant's intimate, characteristic atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful restaurant with delicious cuisine! I wanted to give it five stars as soon as we walked in! We had the opportunity to try dishes that are hard to find, with excellent combinations of flavors and quality. The welcome from Mrs. Assunta was also wonderful! Highly recommended.

This is my second visit to Torre di Pretoro, and it was significantly better. The first time, I tried dishes that were more or less good (for example, I found the sagne e ceci rather bland, while the ravioli, with mushrooms or nettles, were excellent). The second time, I tried the house specialties, and everything was perfect. But what makes the place special is the ambiance—it feels like being in a "tale of tales," in a room carved out of the rock. The owner's friendliness also makes the experience pleasant and satisfying.

Excellent food, everything we ate was delicious, but the parmigiana is truly unbeatable; my nephew thinks it's out of this world. The owner is welcoming and very hospitable; we got lost in the deserted streets of Pretoro, but it's definitely worth it. Tip: instead of following the GPS, call and ask the lady for directions.

A true gem in the heart of Pretoro Alta. The lady welcomed us with kindness and warmth and seated us in the restaurant's most beautiful spot, a room carved out of the rock. We enjoyed typical Abruzzo dishes prepared with local ingredients. Generous portions and meticulously prepared dishes. I recommend trying the famous "torta del lupo" (wolf cake); you won't regret it!

Tonight we went to this delightful restaurant located in the oldest part of Pretoro. The interior is literally carved into the rock, very romantic. The menu is traditional yet original in its combinations. The meat is excellent, the staff is very helpful, they welcomed us even though we had a dog, and everyone was very kind. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back ❤️

A wonderful experience Romantic location, excellent typical Abruzzo food, and truly super kind and helpful staff. They're also prepared for celiacs like me. We found everything perfect, the kindness and professionalism are top notch. Congratulations to everyone.

We had lunch today, everything was delicious, they were very kind in preparing an off-menu item for the child, wonderful location, courteous, friendly staff, we felt right at home, Patrizia is a great chef and Assunta is super super kind, we will be back soon!
