I wanted a dinner with healthy traditional Italian dishes and I pleasantly came across this place where I enjoyed exquisite dishes, in a well-kept and welcoming and not hyper-sophisticated environment. I will return, I hope, soon, to try the other dishes, in particular the stewed snails (not available this time)

Small restaurant with very refined cuisine. Well-kept, clean and quiet environment, ideal for an evening with friends or family. Basic menu, but with original and tasty proposals, both meat and fish. Good selection of desserts. Decent wine list, contains among other things some Champagne.
Courteous and attentive staff towards the customer. Overall it is very good,
high quality/price ratio, it stands out from "mass" restaurants and definitely deserves to be tried. The restaurant also offers evenings with themed menus at reasonable prices.

Elegant restaurant in the center of Merate. Traditional cuisine with carefully prepared and tasty dishes, served in generous portions. My braised suckling pig was excellent. The desserts also looked tempting but I didn't try them. From the outside it is not well signposted, the signs are a little hidden.

A really nice place for atmosphere, quality of food and good value for money. The portions are adequate, the place is clean and well-kept and the delivery times of the dishes were truly Swiss.
I can't give 5 stars, reluctantly, because some important details related to the service were missing (e.g. lack of bread and/or breadsticks on the starters - even just offering them). Furthermore, during the evening, we often felt the lack of someone to ask when we needed it, since the manager, alone in the room, perhaps extended the times too much in favor of our peace of mind but to the detriment of the care of the service. I will definitely be back... and maybe this flaw will prove to be just an episode and not a constant.

Family dinner, elegant and well-kept venue, special and good dishes, prices appropriate to the quality. Good and particular frogs in tempera, very good Sword, soft cheek, and a particular local appetizer, perhaps a little loose.
