La tessitura In Merate

I went to this restaurant with my family. My expectations were high, but they were disappointed... First, the nonexistent welcome. We arrived and there was no one in the dining room other than the customers, and we waited several minutes for the waiter to arrive. Once we were seated, I noticed my glass was dirty and pointed it out to the waiter, who immediately went to wash it. In a restaurant with only a few tables, there shouldn't be this kind of carelessness... I ordered a glass of wine; it had probably been opened a few days earlier or hadn't been stored properly because it wasn't good. We chose our dishes, they arrived, and the waiter disappeared again, leaving the dining room abandoned. We had run out of water and there was no one to order it from. The bread they brought us was hard, definitely not fresh. After finishing dinner, we left, without dessert or coffee. €60 for three with the The Fork discount, but it still wasn't worth it.

Good food, very nice atmosphere, service could be improved with small adjustments

First of all, the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. A really nice guy served us on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was clean, quiet, and welcoming. The food was excellent. For two people, including one appetizer each, one main course each, and one dessert each, plus water, house wine, and a soft drink: total of about €90. But well worth it.

A hidden gem in the center of Merate, quite elegant but strangely empty (lunch). Excellent seafood, with unexpectedly generous portions. The only flaw was the very kind waitress, who brought the wine in the cooler already opened...

I wanted a dinner with healthy traditional Italian dishes and I pleasantly came across this place where I enjoyed exquisite dishes, in a well-kept and welcoming and not hyper-sophisticated environment. I will return, I hope, soon, to try the other dishes, in particular the stewed snails (not available this time)

Small restaurant with very refined cuisine. Well-kept, clean and quiet environment, ideal for an evening with friends or family. Basic menu, but with original and tasty proposals, both meat and fish. Good selection of desserts. Decent wine list, contains among other things some Champagne. Courteous and attentive staff towards the customer. Overall it is very good, high quality/price ratio, it stands out from "mass" restaurants and definitely deserves to be tried. The restaurant also offers evenings with themed menus at reasonable prices.
