03/12/2024: It is always said that we return to where we had a good time... and it is precisely for this reason that the Trattoria da Danilo has become a fixed stop for us when we go to Rome and one of our favorite places... the atmosphere is familiar and it is that of a typical Roman trattoria that makes you feel at home, the service is always attentive and courteous (a heartfelt thank you to Stefano and Andrea), the welcome from the owner Danilo is always warm, the selection of wines is excellent and above all, the kitchen it is excellent and authentic... true Roman cuisine... congratulations to the whole team in the kitchen! This time I betrayed "His Majesty" the Carbonara for some wonderful tagliolini with white truffle... the dark artichoke with parmesan fondue and Morolo steak was also exceptional, the tartare was excellent and very well seasoned and the oxtail was tasty and very tender... the oxtail was also excellent Mater Matuta Casale del Giglio 2018 wine (Syrah and Petit Verdot) that Andrea recommended to us! Well done! A heartfelt thank you to Danilo for his availability and kindness! We will definitely see each other again the next time we return to Rome…
