Small, cozy but still welcoming/homemade environment, it looks like a small cave with a barrel vault. There are small parking areas a few hundred meters away.
First courses, fish starters and fish main courses are the strong points. but the homemade desserts are also worth trying.
Owner very helpful and attentive as well as friendly.
Balanced quality/price ratio.
There are steps down to enter.

I went there for lunch after driving from Rome on my motorbike. This restaurant has a wide variety of fish dishes. The fish was fresh and very tasty! The pasta is also homemade and has a gentle taste. The shop had a great atmosphere and the owner was very friendly and we had a great time! I will go again! ! Ciao Francesco!!

The name is spot on, a small tavern where you can eat very well. We stumbled upon it by chance. Fish specialities, all very fresh! We took the mixed seafood appetizer, the clam and porcini stringozzi (amazing), and a mixed fried dish which had, in addition to the usual calamari and prawns, some red mullets and other excellent small fish. Super honest price, good cook and the owner is very kind. Super recommended.

Onesta trattoria di Poggio Mirteto, con il simpatico proprietario Campano Cilentano per la precisione . Specializzata in piatti di pesce per cui va la maggior parte degli avventori. io ho assaggiato le alici fritte che erano buone. Gli altri piatti scelti erano di carne ; gnocchi al ragù abbastanza duri, forsrse troppa farina nella mescola ed un sugo non degno di nota, bistecca di Angus , a cottura media , un po troppo dura, ed il concetto di cottura medio scivolato su ben cotta. Verdura molto buona e saporita, specialmente i broccoli alla siciliana.
Per la media di Poggio Mirteto discreto, prezzi ragionevoli. >i può migliorare....

Few tourists in this town, and quite a few restaurants. La Tavernetta is tucked away behind the main square. The owner did his best for us Dutch tourists. We had a good meal there, not too expensive.

The place is worth a visit: it is central, you can also reach it by coming into town with the shuttle from the station, it is quiet and comfortable and the dishes are truly excellent. The hand-made strangozzi, both land and sea, are excellent and the desserts are good.

Food was amazing, simple flavours that made u really feel the real taste of seafood. I am for sure coming back to this place before going back to sweden.
Price including wine, starter for three and four main dishes 130 euros.
