A great family Italian restaurant, incredibly delicious pastas!!!!! The workers are very friendly and attentive. We came two nights to eat and had a spectacular time. Super recommended, come 😁

We went to La Tavernella due to lack of options. We didn’t have a reservation and asked at the door if they have a table for two. The owner stood at the door, more like a night club bouncer, nodded his head and reluctantly pushed the door open with his back - making us not exactly welcome. We got water for the table and the menus, service was quite fast, his wife and kid (I guess) were lovely. Portions are big and were tasteful however we have had better food in Rome. It’s mediocre and we felt they liked local guests more than tourists - which is fine. So when you’re a tourist maybe skip this one and leave them to their preferred customers.
Family place with 100% Italian food and where we were treated incredibly. The atmosphere with local people and the family that runs this place make this place a highly recommended experience.
We also ate very well for an affordable price.

If you're looking for carbonara, go elsewhere. The eggs where cooked. The waiter or owner (not sure) was not really interested. Not great... Portion was a good size. Asked for water (In Italian), never got it... But when came the time to pay, the water was on the bill. Won't be going back as lot's of other and better restaurants around.

Started out on the wrong foot but quickly became one of our favorites in Rome! Everything was excellent including the limoncello! Luisa was extremely proud of her desserts and showed us each and everyone! Best tiramisu we had while visiting Rome!

Gran pequeño restaurante cerca de nuestro hotel. Comida casera sencilla, sin lujos ni alboroto. Teníamos lasaña casera hecha con pasta fresca, le faltaba carne, el ragu era muy escaso pero el plato estaba sabroso. Seguido de la cotaletta alla milanese que era delgada y crujiente hecha con pechuga de pollo acompañada de unos preciosos pimientos rojos a la parrilla. Seguido por tiramisú y crostate ciliegie.
Compartimos media botella de Banfi Chianti. Lo recomendaría si quieres una comida rápida.
