I've been going to the tavernella for a while now when I'm in Rome. I like having a chat with the owner. Then they offer real cuisine without too much cream and various bullshit. Top lemon dessert. The tonnarello is excellent....I will return

Delightful family-run trattoria, very kind and approachable owners, truly excellent food from starters to pasta and pizzas. The superlative desserts made by the owner every day (the profiteroles, the grandmother's cake and the tiramisu are absolutely worth trying). I've been back 3 times already!!! Highly recommended

This has to be one of the homiest, best run trattorias in the entire city—with delicious food to match! Everything is homemade and is outstanding, from the bruschettas and pastas, to the lasagne and profiteroles! We came here three times this trip and look forward to making it a regular stop whenever we visit Rome.

Spesso in occasione delle trasferte nella capitale per motivi di lavoro mi fermo a pranzo in questa tipica trattoria romana. Il personale è accogliente, le portate abbondanti, i prezzi modici ed il servizio fast. Per un pranzo veloce e’ l’ideale.

Per una cena informale. Locale piccolo ma accogliente con posto sia interno che esterno. Ci accoglie la gentilissima signora Luisa. Cibo abbondante, serata piacevole nonostante qualche scaramuccia dalla cucina. Ottima la pizza. Magari è il mio palato ma ho trovato il resto un pochino troppo salato/saporito...tranne il conto onestissimo.

We went for lunch on Sunday with a friend, I've been there several times both to eat the pinsa and the first courses and I have to say everything is always delicious! Courteous and attentive staff, very nice, elegant and intimate location, suitable for every situation, good value for money. The desserts are also good. Advised

19/07/2024: Delicious food at a good price. Service was good but not all of the staff spoke English. Would definitely recommend!
17/06/2024: We just wanted some Pizza and beer, but we got Pinsa and beer, more Roman cuisine you can’t get. I would rate it eleven out of five. Our table was on the street, as it is typical over here. The chairs are comfortable, even for taller persons. Tomorrow is our last day in Italy and we will definitely have our dinner here again.
