La Taverna Di Du Matt In Vanzaghello

15/10/2025: We were at the restaurant for dinner today. The place was almost full (only the last 3 tables out of at least 30 were free). The atmosphere was amazing. Very full = very, very noisy, which we didn't mind at all (strangely, the noisiest was the large table of Americans). But that's just part of Italy and a good place. The service was great, helpful, polite and funny. We had two pasta dishes, two desserts, half a liter of wine and coffee for a total of 45€. Everything was on the table very quickly and absolutely delicious. By far the best experience and food in the whole week in Italy (we drove through Bari, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Taranto, Matera and Milan). We really enjoyed it and at the end we even got our favorite Amaro as a courtesy from the establishment. They even gave us a pre-ordered coffee for free. The owner/manager was very attentive and very nice. While waiting for the dessert we ordered, we talked about the bad reviews here on google and laughed a lot. Most of the bad reviews are absolutely ridiculous. If anyone is bothered by the large number of people, tourists, noise or Asians, it says more about the writer than about this great place. I think I am quite spoiled when it comes to food and service in restaurants and this place was great. We are staying in Milan for 2 more days and will definitely be back. 15/10/2025: Delicious food, excellent price! Well-served dishes, excellent service, and a delightful atmosphere. We received a complimentary liqueur. We will definitely be back.
