La Taverna della Trisa In Milano

13/11/2025: We went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The place is elegant and unique, neither too loud nor so quiet as to seem staged. The woman who looked after us during dinner was very knowledgeable and approachable, and present "at the right times" (without being there every minute). She helped us choose a wine from the truly extensive selection, which turned out to be excellent! As for the menu, there is the option of tastings of 7 or 10 courses, but we opted for the à la carte option. The dishes are all very elaborate, but the flavors and textures blend really well. The only "disappointing" dish (though, let's be clear, naturally excellent quality) was the tagliolini with butter and truffle, which, despite all the unusual pairings, was almost bland. For all the courses we ordered, I found the price to be appropriate and fair, and two small dishes were offered on the house at the beginning and end of the dinner. One last tip: when we booked online, we specified that it was a birthday dinner. They called us to confirm and ask if a candle would be appreciated, which actually arrived without us even asking in person, and on the birthday boy's dessert.

11/11/2025: We had lunch with the seven-course menu (€110), excluding wine. The setting is charming, if a little kitsch. The furnishings are a bit excessive, and the chef's self-celebration is evident. In the main dining room, there are many tables packed tightly together! The staff is very friendly, and the service is excellent. The seven courses are small, but the quantity is just right and the quality is good, even if they lack that certain something that will leave you speechless. Between the courses, we had delicious tuna with beetroot sauce, green paccheri, and a good cacio e pepe, along with a slice of braised beef and some sweets to finish. All in all, a good experience!
