Quick and efficient lunch break. It's a tavern, so don't expect a Michelin-starred restaurant. They do their job admirably. Quick and friendly service, generous portions with excellent flavors. Recommended!

For me, Taverna del Monaco is a guarantee. I'm often in the Baraccola area for work, and if I'm short on time and want a good meal, I know I can find the perfect balance here. The service is fast and attentive, and you can always chat with Maria. The food is good and authentic, all freshly prepared. My favorite thing is the fish-based first courses, always revised by chef Lorenzo. You always find something new. See you soon!

Always a guarantee. Excellent meat. First courses always "expressly" prepared. Side dishes with fresh seasonal vegetables. Desserts always unique and delicious.

I've been going to Taverna del Monaco almost daily for years now. I work nearby and have never changed restaurants. I eat very well there at excellent prices. Lorenzo's first courses are the best at Baraccola. The daily menu email service is very efficient, allowing me to order in advance and specify the exact time I'll arrive at the restaurant. This greatly shortens the wait because it's almost ready when I arrive. The restaurant is family-run by a husband and wife team. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, the last time I dined at this restaurant, I didn't have a great experience. We ordered appetizers and then raw and cooked meat. The place wasn't crowded at all, and after a 40-minute wait, everything arrived at once, so the appetizers didn't come first. We found many different sauces on the raw meats that could have simply been set aside so anyone could use their own, but instead everything was already seasoned, and when asked for an explanation, they replied, "That's what the chef wanted." The menu didn't specify this seasoning on top, and other times it wasn't plated that way.

Premetto che conoscevo già il posto, avendo spesso usufruito dei loro prodotti d’eccellenza da asporto. Proprio per questo, abbiamo deciso di prenotare una cena per due. All’arrivo siamo stati accolti dal proprietario, Lorenzo, persona estremamente simpatica ed educata, così come il suo staff: un gruppo di ragazzi preparati, gentili e cordiali. Ci hanno accompagnati al tavolo e, dopo averci illustrato alcune delle specialità della casa, Lorenzo ci ha guidati nella scelta in base ai nostri gusti. Abbiamo iniziato con un tagliere di crudo , che consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia vivere un’estasi di sapori. Il tutto era accompagnato da creme e salse artigianali preparate da Lorenzo stesso. Nonostante fossimo già abbastanza sazi, abbiamo proseguito con dei tagli di carne, sempre su consiglio del mitico Lorenzo: una bistecca e uno spiedo di picanha, entrambi letteralmente si scioglievano in bocca ed il tutto accompagnato da un tris di contorni buonissimi Non mi dilungo oltre, ma voglio rivolgere un messaggio a quei “cultori di programmi TV tipo MasterChef”: andate a fare i giudici a casa vostra, evitando di lasciare recensioni negative a chi, come Lorenzo e il suo staff, dimostra ogni giorno impegno e professionalità nel campo della ristorazione.

Excellent choice for an unpretentious dinner. The tonnarelli carbonara are excellent, the sirloin is quality and well served, the roasted vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes and onions) well cooked and tasty. Seasoned pecorino is a pleasure for the palate accompanied by very good bread. The price is absolutely honest. The service was fast and professional. Advised. 👍

The meat is undoubtedly good, it is best to be guided by the owner, there are tasting menus for couples, the environment is not the best but you can't have everything in life.

Ormai sono diverse volte che scegliamo questo locale. Propongono un menu non da tipica Steack House, ma non per questo inferiore, anzi… Nulla di particolarmente elaborato, ma molto attenti alla sostanza!! Ottime porzioni ed eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo. Menzione speciale alle loro tagliatelle al ragù, vere e veraci tagliatelle della nonna Marchigiana! La carne… che dire, semplicità e gusto
