Today I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Taverna del Gioachimita and I can say that I was pleasantly impressed by the experience. The dishes offered are delicious and traditional at the same time, very delicate on the palate and of great quality. The service is very attentive to customers, the owner is friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is joyful, attentive and professional. The internal location is well cared for, with attention to detail. I think it's a nice place to spend some peaceful hours, enjoying good food. I can therefore only recommend it. I will gladly return.

Locale caratteristico immerso nel centro storico di San Giovanni in fiore. Proprietari disponibili e accoglienti. Cucina ottima. Eravamo in 8 (4 adulti e 4 ragazzi) avevamo tanta fame e sinceramente abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Lo consiglierei vivamente a chiunque. Rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente!

Fantastic family run restaurant with wonderful food! We had a lovely dinner and the best T bone in Italy! The husband wife team and their kids and cousins run a beautiful restaurant that is charming with local dishes and great homemade liquors including a fantastic liquorish flavor.. Son was there and he did a great job handling English to Italian translating too! Really awesome!

Pure delight. I had some good reviews, but wanted to check it out for myself. Excellent food respecting tradition. A pleasant dive into the past. Welcoming, helpful and polite staff. I felt pampered. Excellent quality/price ratio. An experience to be repeated soon

We went to La Taverna del Gioachimita on August 20th. Really welcoming environment, really nice owner and friendly and helpful waiters. Excellent food; very tasty starter with caciocavallo. The owner advised us to take the stew and the sliced meat cooked on the stone brought directly to the table. What can I say... very good, the meat melted in your mouth. We had a really good time!

Stunning location a stone's throw from the abbey in the beating heart of the historic center! The staff is not only helpful, knowledgeable but also welcoming and empathetic towards all diners! The hot and cold appetizer was excellent - wine list with good Calabrian wines (I recommend Jachello or Muranera); spectacular fillet - the side dishes cannot be missing - thanks for the bitters, all homemade and expertly made! Low bill compared to the quality of the food! Compliments

We decided to have lunch here given the reviews, but I won't go beyond enough. Certainly a nice location and very friendly staff. In my opinion, the dishes all need to be reviewed. We took a cold hot starter which was very lacking in heat and the meatballs and pancakes were really miniature. Sliced as normal. The potato pie was more of a taste than a portion, I would say given the price of €8 I was expecting something more generous and the mushrooms just an extra. For first courses, homemade white pasta with chopped meat and mushrooms and spaghetti alla pecoraia. The former lacked flavor, the latter too loaded with cheese. The sausage and loin were good, but it was a shame about the stew lacking in odors and salt and the mbacchiuse potatoes, which weren't mbacchiuse. The bitterness is good.
