It respects Sardinian tradition 100x100 especially the traditional one of the lower Campidano (Sulcis Iglesiente) they work with always fresh raw materials and some products are handmade, cleanliness and professionalism are standard.

Rustic yet elegant location, small yet very welcoming, superb menu with generous portions, so quality and price are more than fair. The suckling pig is spectacular. The staff is professional and very attentive to their customers. My rating? 10!!!

I wasn't familiar with this restaurant; my sister-in-law knows it well, having grown up, as a true Sardinian, in the same town as Carlo, the charming owner and chef of Anima Sarda. Let me start by saying that I'm difficult, sometimes too much so, I know. I observe a lot, I think too much, but if I'm having a bad time, I rarely speak up. On the contrary, when something "captivates" me, I'm quick to praise the qualities that caught my attention. The restaurant has a few tables outside, in the entrance courtyard. Excellent in warm weather, they're certainly in high demand. Upon entering, you enter the first room, and a few steps down leads to the second. The decor is understated but carefully chosen. Wooden tables, as are the various furnishings. The 4 Mori (the four moors) cannot go unnoticed, as is the cork used both as decor and as trays. Without trying to show off, everything perfectly conveys the origins and direction chosen. Sardinians are everywhere and know a great deal about the mountains, with their meats, the sea with their fish, and all their aromas, colors, and flavors. They make their presence felt in the kitchen, as in this case.
I'm not good at taking photos of dishes, but believe me when I say they're unnecessary. Everything was a pleasure to the palate.
I recommend Anima Sarda for its excellent cuisine, for a romantic dinner, or for a visit with friends. Personally, I don't recommend large tables; it's too chaotic.
But I reiterate my compliments to Carlo and his entire staff. I rediscovered the flavors and aromas of Sardinia even from miles away...

Just once, a dinner with lots of friends.
We ordered the roast suckling pig for everyone, and it was delicious!!
The price per person was a little high.
I promised myself I'd return to choose from the à la carte menu.

A great discovery that allowed us to savor the wonderful Sardinian dishes again, just steps from home.

The exterior of the location appears poorly maintained, with weeds overgrown on the walls.
Inside, as well as outside, the decor needs improvement.
The lighting is insufficient.
The 70x70cm tables are truly small, with little room for a bread basket, plates, and a place setting consisting of a runner and paper napkin.
The service was quick, friendly, but inattentive, even though the restaurant wasn't full.
The delicious fish soup, served in a small bowl, with prawns requiring cleaning, was truly a challenge due to the limited space, with splashes of sauce all over you. All you could find was a paper napkin and a few tiny wet wipes.
The prawns were not gutted.
The fregola, culorgiones, fried food, and desserts were all very good, except for the tiramisu, which lacked a little cream, a lot of Sardinian ladyfingers, and was served with a drizzle of non-dairy cream, which was truly unappealing.
You can truly find authentic Sardinian cuisine made with quality ingredients at this restaurant, but the place needs a little more updating.
I missed the comfort—there were three of us at a small table—and the atmosphere of sitting at a table and waiting for the moment to taste what you've ordered.
