La Taverna dei Balbi In Bracciano

I'm sorry, but this isn't quite right. I never write reviews, but this time I have to tell it like it is. I arrive at this BEAUTIFUL location, see friendly and helpful waiters, read fabulous reviews, and thought, "PERFECT"! From the entire menu, very nice with a wide gourmet selection, I choose the most basic and classic items, where you can't go wrong: a supplì and a red mushroom dish. The pizza had a strange dough, more like a biscuit, the sauce and mozzarella were watery and, unfortunately, tasteless, they didn't mix well. I was quite disappointed... I console myself with the mushrooms; at least they're always good, even if they're few... I dive into the supplì, a Roman specialty I'm very fond of, and... nothing, a sad-looking, greasy little thing. I tasted it and it was a salt bomb that covered the flavors, the rice sometimes raw... Unfortunately, I feel like I'd be ashamed if a tourist were to eat here because it doesn't reflect good Roman cuisine in the slightest. I hope, however, that I was unlucky, because otherwise the excellent reviews from other customers can't be explained. Since we're Italian and used to eating well, I can only assume I was unlucky. I'm giving it 3 stars because the location is truly delightful and the staff is kind, but I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend it to my Italian or foreign friends.

location perfetta soprattutto in questo caldo periodo sì sta freschissimi!!. Gloria la proprietaria sempre gentile e premurosa.... pizza sempre buonissima ben condita con ingredienti di ottima qualità ... Per non parlare dei supplì, c'è una svariata scelta tutti buonissimi ma soprattutto preparati freschi da loro.... È per finire noi abbiamo provato la pizza con Nutella e pere... buonissima 😋.. penso sia la pizzeria migliore della zona!

Good arrosticini, good supplì, good focaccia and excellent price. We like it. For 1 calzone, 7 supplì, 1 focaccia with peppers, 2 portions of arrosticini with grilled vegetables, 2 beers and 2 waters spent just under 70 euros for 4.

Mainly pizza, arrosticini and steak for those who want something else. Excellent Roman pizza, great variety of fantastic supplì. Decent variety of desserts not exceptional.

Frequento questa pizzeria da molto tempo e sono sempre rimasto molto soddisfatto. Cibo ottimo (soprattutto i supplì di vari gusti), prezzi modici e personale molto cortese. Gloria è del resto sempre gentile e disponibile… davvero consigliato (l’estate poi si può godere pienamente del fresco del bel giardino).
